AAAAAHHHHH!! No more Figaro Fries!!

Just curious, don't they sell a pizza/salad lunch at pinnochio village haus? You could go for lunch and split a pizza meal and make your own figaro fries with part of the salad and split those too!! Of course that would only really work if you had two people...but at least it's something!!
I am surprised they left cheese and bacon fries on...you would think if they took something off it would have been the bacon....

Not to be a spoil sport, but I read yesterday that Outback Steakhouses cheese fries with ranch dip is like eating 14 Krispy Kream donuts! That being said, the Figaro Fries look delish, and I never got a chance to try them!

Ok... I.... seriously, what's so great about *cheese* fries? They're just cheese fries. You can get cheese fries anywhere. Is it b/c they have lettuce and tomato? Don't you think they'd add that if you asked real sweet and batted your big pretty peepers at them? (and maybe paid them like $.99 or something?) And I'm *sure* you can get a side of ranch...

so, really... this isn't like a major crisis... :hippie:

But really what is a major crisis about Disney? Its a big deal to some people - let us complain a little about it OK :rotfl: ? My DH says he is having an existential crisis over this :lmao: .

I'm sorry for those of you that will miss a "treat" you loved so much, but those looked so unhealthy in the pictures I have seen. I'm sure many local eateries would be happy to alter their cheese fries to resemble the Figaro Fries, and it would be much less labor intensive on them, as they don't do the volume disney does.

I am all for healthier options in the parks, and taking things like those icky looking fries off of the menu and maybe adding a healthier option works for us. I'm sorry if it doesn't work for everyone, but, someone here did post a recipe on how to do it at home if you choose to.

I'm all for healthier options too - but who wants choices taken away? These fries are what got my DH excited about Disney darn it :goodvibes .

Now see, I really like your post - you state your point, but with a little understanding and humor! No smugness, no judgement about others' misery -I think we'd get along!

I had them just once; without tomatoes, though, because tomatoes are icky.

Not something I'd go running back for because I can make better ones at home (and I prefer to eat at CHH for lunch). But they WERE yummy, unique, and surely they already had the ingredients on hand? Seems silly to cut something like that from the menu.

I won't cry about it but I do scratch my head at which Disney exec thought removing them was a worthwhile endeavor.

Well, I split my outback cheese fries between 3 other people so that would only be like eating 3.5 Krispy Kreams...so much better! :lmao: :rotfl2: I am not giving up my outback cheese fries.:rolleyes1

It's funny what our perspectives are, last weekend DH and I were at Outback looking at cheese fries on someone else's table thinking they looked gross, but I'm all about the Figearo Fries !:lmao: They're virtually the same thing! Funny how things are much better at WDW than at home, must be :wizard:

They still have the cheese and bacon on them so not healthier at all. :confused3

That's what I was thinking. Sure, the Ranch isn't all the healthy, but they took away the lettuce and tomato. . . the two healthiest parts of the whole thing!

So I think we can all agree that it wasn't a health conscious decision. :lmao:

I think someone else may have said this, but I think it has more to do with the dinning plan than healthier choices.

I split a *half* order of cheese fries with one other person, and I don't eat the ranch! So how many Krispy Kremes is that?!

I'm not giving up Outback cheese fries or Krispy Kremes, thanks! ;)

THIS is a tragedy of epic proportions.

No, seriously. I've gone so far as to say Figaro Fries are my very favorite thing to eat in all of the MK ! Yes, to those who have not had them, I *know* that tomatoes and lettuce and ranch on french fries sounds strange, and not very good. But, somehow, it is. Err, WAS... :sad2:

Give us a double order of Figaro's and a seat overlooking the loading dock of IASW and we are in heaven.

*Sigh*

I'm really sad to see them go. :guilty:

I feel the same as you. :guilty:

I have never tried figaro fries, and was going to in Sept.

But, just a heads up to anyone who has a rally's or checker's around. They make a mean yummy loaded fry. I don't think they put the tomato, or lettuce, but they are still yummo.

Hmm, people ordering their Figaro Fries without lettuce and tomato...that makes me think of V8 commercials.

"...and could I get those with just cheese and bacon? Thanks."

*BOP!*

It's really funny 'cause my best friend was with me and she thought that they would be just fine without the veggies, just didn't want to skip the ranch dressing. (guess who has high cholesterol?)

Well, I hope that they come to their senses. The girl at the counter told me that they were just too expensive to make with the veggies. I told her then they should just raise the price, don't change a classic! She agreed with me, but she's just the cashier, so I guess it won't matter what she thinks. (although it should, as they are the ones who'll get all the flak from the guests!)

I think you're trying to scare the wrong people. Sometimes we get a dozen Krispy Kremes on the way to the Outback for dinner.
