i'm calling aaa tomorrow but i wanted to see if anyone else can say there aaa membership is worth it. right now my rate for por is roughly 185/night. i went on to aaa.com and got a little quote for my honeymoon. From what i got from it if i got a aaa membership the rate would drop to 140.25/night. thats a pretty good deal. Also all i could find about how much a membership was, was 60 annual for a primary membership. Do these numbers seem right? like i said i'm going to call tomorrow. thanx for any response.

Yes they seem right to me. DH and I are staying at CSR two nights and the end of June and 3 nights after the rest of the family returns to Ohio. The $140 rate is the same as mine. It is a nice discount and we also use AAA for trip tiks, guide books (as we are driving from Iowa) and to have the protection of road assistance for the whole year.

IF you do any other traveling or overnite "get aways" you might be surprised at how much AAA can save you. Many, many properties give AAA discount of some sort. We typically save at least enough to cover our membership on a multi-nite stay - and we may do that several times/year (if we're lucky enough to get away!). You also get maps and tour books (w/ listings of the hotels that discount) as part of your membership as well as the emergency road service. For us it's worth the money. HTH

You also get free Travelers Checks. The road assistance also includes lock out service (which we have used a few times  ). There travel books are very handy also.. Ithink it is well worth the cost.

Good morning! We really like our AAA membership. It offers discounts in places where we normally wouldn't receive one, like The Reebock Shoe outlet etc. Plus the AAA guidebooks are wonderful. They'll map our car trips for you and provide you with detailed maps including construction sites etc. We pay $44 annually. The rate of $180+ for POR is what we are paying in March. This includes the tax which is pretty much itself! I absolutely  POR and feel that the price is well worth it!! Have fun! :goodvibes

AAA advocate here. Have booked DW twice with them, and have saved me considerable $$$. I like having my reservation set and in place, no dangling threads, and I always book a package. This coming Oct., 5nts/6days, 2ppl. at the Polynesian with Park Hopper tix, AAA saved me $200. That alone has paid for my membership for a number of years.

I have been a member of AAA for years and it is a great value--the membership saves us money every year, not even counting Disney discounts.
You can't go wrong!

We are saving all the time with AAA.
We get our movie tickets there, free maps for any where, The tour books (love them), some restaurants (10%off), Free towing ( have had to use this a few times due to accidents)
There are more reasons why i love AAA but go and talk to them and check out their web site.
I have been a member for many years and it is worth the money EVERY year!!!!!!

Ask if they are having any specials when you call- sometimes they will have free associate deals, $5 off if you put it on automatic renewal, etc.

FYI - you don't need to call AAA to book a room-only ressie, you can call Disney directly, just tell them you want the AAA room-only discount.
