Where did you see the AAA rates? I tried looking online (for end of August) and it said rate not available. I thought AAA rates were only available over the phone.

Did you book the AAA rates online or did you make your reservation by phone? Don't see the AAA rates online...

AAA rates aren't available on the Loews website but they are available through the AAA website. I'm not sure if they are the same as the ones quoted through Loews through.

I called and the AAA rates are available when you call.

Like Damo said, you need to call to get the AAA rates, they are not available on line.

just got off the phone with my local AAA office and the girl told me that the rates wouldnt be out for the Hard Rock until this fall "sometime". I also asked her if we got any discount inside the parks using the AAA card and she said no, only the onsite hotels. I could have sworn I read somewhere that you could get discounts on food, merchandise..... so confusing.

Yup, she is misinformed. Call Loews, not the AAA office, and ask for AAA rates. They may have them. You get 10% off of food and merchandise at the parks.

rpbert1 - I called and was quoted the same AAA rate ($211.65) as you for a standard room at RPR for summer 2010. I forgot to ask if it included tax. Do you know if this AAA rate includes tax?

Assuming taxes are 12.5%, total cost for a standard room at RPR with AAA discount for Summer 2010 is $$238.11 (excluding weekends) Correct?

I have standard rates of $269 & $219 for next summer, 1st time i've diy'ed booking - am i best to hang on for any other rates or call them now???
dont want to keep changing rates if its not necessary as i'm calling from the UK - hope that makes sense!!!

How did you get this rate? The lowest AAA rate I found for HRH in August 2010 is $232. How did you get them to adjust it down to $186?

I called Loew's on the phone. It is for the very end of August. Maybe the rates for that time frame are lower. What part of Aug. was the rate you got for?

The rate I got was for the first week in August.

That is probably why there is a rate difference. I think the end of August is considered value season.
