I have 2 rooms booked with packages for october. To get a AAA discount, do I need to cancel the package and do just rooms. Can I then go back and add tickets to make it a package again?

unless you book with a AAA agent you cant get a AAA package. You would have to cancel the package and book a AAA room only and add park tickets. It still would not be a package, it would be a room only with separate tickets.

A room only AAAdiscount cAN be made thru CRO.Once you want to addtickets or dining, CRO would consider it a pkg and in order to be eligible for the AAA discount, you would need to book it directly thru AAA.

I do not believe this is quite correct. You can make a room only reservation with a AAA discount through disney and then separately buy tickets through disney. This does not make it a package, just a room only reservation and you have also bought tickets.

I have had a trip planned for Nov 14 -23 for awhile now, actually booked airfare back in May. But, I just booked my room tonight, late I know! I've been waiting for the discounts but decided to get my AAA room to make sure I have one and just apply the new discount when it comes out. I planned to book a room/ticket package when I called but couldn't do that. To use my AAA card I had to book a room only and just buy the tickets seperately, so it wasn't a package, just a AAA rate room and the tickets added on. Not sure what the difference is if it were a package, like what makes a package cause the tickets aren't discounted anyway when it is a room/tickets package. But, anyway the above poster is correct, I just bought a room only with AAA and ordered a set of tickets also.
