Aaa?

AAA does offer discounts for WDW. I have used the discounts for room only at deluxe resorts and received 15% off of rack rates. I know that AAA also sells discounted packages to WDW. Any travel agent can make a room only discount at the AAA rate, but only AAA travel agents can sell complete vacation packages.

You should contact AAA directly and speak with a travel agent. I have read mixed reviews about the AAA travel agents, so I suggest that you do a search of the DIS for recommendations or do a separate posting asking for a referral. My understanding is that AAA members may use any AAA travel agent in the USA.

You can only book AAA Package through AAA and there is a discount IF there are still rooms available at the discount as only a certain number of rooms are made available to discount. You can book Room only direct with disney and get a discount as well, but you cannot add anything to it.

I booked a AAA package 8 nights with 9 day park hopper and dining plan at POR waterview King size room for just over $2500 [two adults] on the Disney site the same package was 2980. and you also get access to the AAA parking lot and a coupon card or booklet with some discounts etc.

We always book room only directly with Disney and get the CAA/AAA discount on the room. We buy our park passes seperately as this is usually much cheaper. We collect air miles and can redeem for free Disney passes. There's also some ticket brokers who sell Disney passes. Have you tried Mousesavers.com ?

I booked a 7 night/8 day package for the CR with dining, park hopper, and water park add ons through AAA. I can't find my receipt right now but I remember it saved me about $500 of the prices quoted on the Disney Website.

The concern I have now though is that if Disney offers any promotions, such as free dining, I can not receive them unless I cancel my reservation though AAA, and rebook through Disney. By doing that, I risk losing my room (tower magic kingdom view). If I had booked through disney, they will give you the best promotions without need of cancelling your current reservation as long as you call up and ask.

That's not true. It doesn't matter that your package is booked through AAA- it can still be modified to a different discount/promotion. When a discount is released just call your TA or stop by the office and have them try to switch it. They will not have to cancel your reservation and rebook.

You should still be able to get any promotions offered by Disney through your AAA agent.

Thanks, I'll definately give it a try. But before I booked the package deal with AAA, I called disney travel and asked them about this. At the time, they said If I booked through them, and got the AAA discount on just the room, they could cancel that discount and give the free dining (assuming that was worth more). But, the only way to get the AAA discount on a package was to book through AAA, at which time any promotions disney offered could not then be transferred. The free dining would save me a little more money since there's 3 of us going, but if i can't get it, i still saved $500 and got my dream room to boot :goodvibes
