AAA vs Free Dining?

We're booking a trip for December with a split stay at the Poly and AKL with a savannah view. Am I better off booking through AAA and getting the resort discount or waiting for a free dining code? I do have the Disney Visa and I've heard that there might be a code coming out in April, so I'm not sure if I should wait until then or not.

I would look for another discount. The free dining offer, which comes out in April, is only valid late Aug - late Sept, sometimes into October, but I have never seen it valid for December stays.

Last year was the first time ever that free dining was at a time other than AUG/SEPT and that was only availble for Disney Visa holders and person specific pincodes. There is no gurantee Disney will make it available again, and at this point to early to tell.

I didn't know there were codes for that, too. Last year I received the free dining offer through the Disney Visa and remember it being for dates in Oct, Nov, and Dec (we went in mid Nov). If it makes a difference, we'll need two rooms since we'll have five adults and a 2.5 year old.

It actually was made available first by pincode only and it was annouced in Sept.Shortly after that the Disney Visa deal was made available.

I would take what you have right now.You can always try to switch if something better does become available.
