Is anyone out there an expert on the ticket packages that AAA offers? We'd like 2 day park tickets that let us "hop" from IOA to US. Do these exist? What are they called? Thanks

The following tickets allow for park hopping:

1 day/2 park ticket
2 day
3 day
Orlando Flexticket
Annual pass
Seasonal pass
Florida resident 2-park pass

Essentially, 1 day/1 park tickets do not allow for park hopping.

I called the 800 # on the back of my AAA card and asked about the 2 day--1 day free tickets that they offer--I was put on hold for a few minutes--the woman came back on and said there is a special if you use your Discover card to purchase the tickets these are available thru 12/01. I believe the tickets don't expire till 12/02--you just need to purchase them before 12/01. Since we are going in November, I will wait awhile to purchase them. She said they would take the order over the phone and mail them--usually takes about 10 days to receive them. The prices were: $89.95 adults & $77.95 child (3-9)--they are essentially 3 day hopper passes, so you can hop to both parks.

Hope this helps!

I didn't use a discover card to get my 2 day US/IOA tickets with a third day free , I used my AAA card at my AAA local office and didn't have a problem finding them.
You have to use your days before 12/31/2002 according to the ticket.

I thought the discover card thing was a package deal where you had to book hotel with it to get the third day free.
Is AAA the only place offering the third day free on passes only with the Discover Card?

You do not need to use a Discover Card to get 3rd day free at AAA. I just ordered mine over the phone from AAA and paid with Visa.

What number did you call to order the AAA tickets and pay on the phone by credit card?
Are the tickets you get from AAA actually tickets and not vouchers? I just want to confirm that you can go straight in the parks without having to go to the ticket booth with the AAA tickets.
Thanks!

See the attached link for the AAA deal. This is a special deal only through AAA and one can only buy tickets until September 28th. Now each local office may or may not be participating in this special. Also some offices may be sold out of tickets. Check with your local office for more info. If your local office is out of tickets, you may need to call the state office for tickets or call a different local office. These tickets are good until the end of 2002.

My wife and I just visited this past weekends with the AAA tickets. These tickets function like normal tickets though they are simply printed off a printer at the AAA office. One can go right up and scan the ticket through the gate for park entry and use them for Universal Express tickets. One can also use them for early entry days.

Thanks so much for the info. I just logged on, ordered the tickets, and will have them in 6 days. AAA Texas denied having any idea what I was talking about when I called, so I appreciate the link.

To order my tickets, I called the AAA office that is nearest to my home directly. I would have bought the tickets right at the office, but I live about 90 minutes from the nearest AAA office.

I also purchased my tickets through AAA with my Amex. card but they said that promotion ended on August 31. I bought them on August 31. If you can't find out any info from AAA, that may be why. Good luck in trying to get your tickets. Maybe it was a local thing and you can still get yours. Rachel

I have a question -
I've looked on AAA South's site - under park tickets and the price difference quoted there is very small , like only 3.00$ off a 4 day hopper. Then I saw the AAA Wisconsin site and the amount was more like $5.00 off.
Do different AAA locations give different prices?
Also at the Wisconsin site, only the 4 day hopper was listed on the internet. Are some locations limited in what they have to sell?
Any thoughts?

I have found that many national not-for-profit organizations are not 1 organization but many organizations. Yes national AAA may originally signup deals with companies like Universal, but each local group is free to charge different rates and have different rules. They are not mandated by national to do things a certain way. This is why some local offices may not even be participating or some groups have different prices/rules. Keep on trying a different office to see what they are selling and also tell your local office what specials other groups are offering. The local office may simply not know they could be offering a certain special.
