AAA tickets only?

I live in CO, and just called my AAA office to see about getting 3 or 4 day PH tickets, and the agent told me that they do not sell tickets only, just packages with the hotel. Does this mean I'm out of luck, or does anyone know if it is possible to buy tickets only at a CA AAA office? We would be driving to CA and could probably stop by an office to pick up tickets if it would mean we'd get a discount. Another option: is it possible to get a AAA discount at the ticket counter at Disneyland itself?

I live in CA and I've bought just the tickets here. Maybe you could try calling a AAA office in CA, one you will be near ask them about it. Sometimes they run out. You can't get a AAA discount at the gate. Last time I got tickets from AAA it wasn't less than other tickets, but you got free parking which saves money everyday.

I have purchased tickets only at my local (CA) AAA. I have also purchased dining vouchers in conjunction with tickets which constituted a package in the eyes of my AAA office (they didn't used to sell the dining vouchers unless you bought a package). If you're considering a character meal, ask them at your AAA if they will allow you to buy hoppers and meal vouchers as a package.

I just remembered that when I bought tickets only, I had to order them because our office did not carry anything longer than a 4-day hopper and I wanted 5-day hoppers. You can also call their 800 travel number and order them directly through the central AAA office (or you could this time last year).

Thanks so much! I will give my local office a call and see if they can either order the tickets for me, or give me the number of one of the CA offices. The savings on parking alone would be worth going to one of the AAA offices in CA before we get to the park. Good to know that I won't be able to get the discount at the gate.

Oh, thank you, DizMe! It bought up exactly what I wanted. I had been going to the AAA site, but when I logged in, it would take me to the CO office site and there was no option for tickets only there.
