It depends on which AAA Club you belong to. If you are going to buy them in Kissimmee or Orlando you want "Auto Club South". And the price varies by what you are buying.
The tickets must be purchased through AAA. You cannot get AAA pricing at the Gate.
I just called AAA (Chicagoland) for my trip next month and the 4 and 5 day base tickets are about $10 less than Disney's prices. ($10 total per person -- not per day)
If we book our room thru Disney and get tickets at AAA.. will we still have shuttle service. We aren't doing hoper pass. What is the disadvantages/advanges of doing this
As long as you stay on site at a disney hotel, you will get the shuttle service. This includes both Magical Express (to/from the airport) and transportation from the resorts to the theme parks.
It is where you stay that determines these benefits, not the tickets.
Btw, Undercover Tourist tends to have better savings than AAA. In my case, a 5 day park hopper is a $13.88 savings per person (total) for AAA, but UT is 19.18 per person (total).
I'm not sure if AAA even sells regular (no hopper tickets). They aren't listed online for my area, but the office or certain areas may offer them. Check at your local office.
At my AAA office, the 7 day MYW base ticket was about $5 more than the UT/Mousesavers, so it definitely varies. I did buy 1 at AAA so I could get the AAA Diamond Parking Lot pass because that was worth $5 to me.
AAA was a lot cheaper than UT at on point in my area...I've seen that others post their AAA haven't saved them as much. Like anything, you have to shop around.
