Local AAA seems kinda useless. I can not find out what the "Diamond Card" includes. Some one previously posted that you get a 20% coupon if you get the tickets thru Disney? Anyone really know?
Thanks,
Jack
First off, a disclaimer. My AAA agent (who is actually not useless when it comes to Disney info) told me about the Diamond Card when I enquired about a package. When I asked for details, he provided me a copy of a flyer that details discounts as a "AAA Vacations Guest". I am under the impression that this is a separate card, not the normal AAA card. I am not 100% positive that you get all of these discounts when you just order passes, however, the 2007 AAA brouchure lists as a benefit under "Disney Passport Plus - The fantasy and fun of the
Disneyland Resort -- without the accomodations", the "Exclusive AAA Vacations Diamond Card" as well as the "Exclusive AAA FREE Parking". The flyer I was provided noted:
At DTD:
ESPN: Free childs meal with adult entree

Arribas Bros: 10% purchase of $50 or more

Club Libby Lu: Free create your own potion with $25 purchase

Lego Center: $5 off $30 purchase
Something Silver: 15% selected merchandise
Tattoos: 10% off
The Pearl Factory: Free pearl bearing oyster with and 14L setting starting at $17.99
Also:
10% off character dining -- this is interesting. It notes PCH Grill, Goofy's Kitchen, Ariel's Grooto, Plaza Inn, and Wine Country Trattoria -- but Wine Country Trattoria is not character dining; it doesn't note Story Tellers. 10% off some character dining is available with regular AAA card alone; this may not be part of the "Diamond Card"
World of Disney and More - 10% off single purchase of $50 or more on selected products at one of the participating locations ... I think this might be a vouchure and may not be a part of the "Diamond Card"
The cost of parkhoppers through AAA (according to my brouchure):
3-day: $160 adult/$130 child
4-day: $180/$150
5-day: $190/$180
(an additional $10 handling fee will be charged per mailing address)
AAA members also get 20% off Walk in Walt's Footsteps, emergency towing, and some hotel discounts with their regular AAA card.
