Were there AAA rooms available? Also the special code that came out a month or so ago. with free park hoppers(from WDW) was about the same $ amount as AAA
Why would my discount only be for about 20$ in the value season for a value resort. Any ideas?
I definitely think this new code will work best for those with children or at least with a larger party. Like I said, the discount is $101 per person, so for us it was $505. Our AAA discount was $306 for our package.
Breakdown -
DH, me, DD13 (considered an adult for ticketing and DDP), DS8, DS4
10 nights POR standard view
10 day park hoppers & water parks
DDP
AAA price - $4517.31
Price with code - $4318.79
Rack $4823.79
Is the Swan/Doplphin a typo. You have the discount at 35% off. That is really good. Would that be off of room only too. Or would I have to buy a package?
I have been considering getting a AAA membership just for the discount on a package with DDP.
I have been considering getting a AAA membership just for the discount on a package with DDP. I want to book a value resort during value season for 6 days with a one day pass per person for 2 adults and 2 kids (under 9) and include the DDP. My question is how do they do the discount? Is it just off the rack room rates or is it off the package? I tried to look it up online but you only see packages with several days tickets. I hate to call not being a member yet. Does anyone know how the discount is done???
You can not have the aaa discounted room/package and add upgrades to that however you can change your reservation (assuming availability) forgoing your aaa discount for the upgrades. the following assumes your aaa package included the hopping and waterparks in a standard room...bnk56 said:I have a call into AAA agent in my area, told her what I was interested in. My question is - if you book a AAA package to Disney ( moderate resort for 7 nights, dining plan etc) can you also get the free upgrade - hopper and water park upgrade applied to your initial package offer? or is this considered a double discount and you lose your AAA package discount? am i making sense....anyway...was wondering if someone could answer quick..
aaa discount is a straight up percent off the rack rate of the room and is the same no matter who you call about it. aaa discounted packages must be booked with aaa only. The reasons for differences.....maybe they came with new dates that are only a day or 2 different but made the seasons change since your whole stay is based on rate of night one, maybe aaa wasn't available when they called the first time but someone cancelled another reservation so there is now a spot available for an aaa reservation, maybe the second call now has a new code which while you then lose your aaa rate ends up a better deal.ekball said:I'm new to using AAA discounts for Disney vacations, so I'm looking for a little help here....
I called CRO and made a reservation (room + 4-day ticket for my 3 yo - DH & I have leftover days from last year) at the Poly with a AAA discount. OK. Good. Now, my question is, would this be the same rate that I would get if I called AAA and made the exact same reservation? Are they ever different (AAA rate booked through AAA vs. AAA rate booked through CRO)?
Also, I've read a couple of times lately where someone calls CRO and gets a AAA rate quote, then calls back a few days later (or whatever) and gets a cheaper quote. Why? How? A code that's out of the blue attached to their name in the CRO system??? And if that's the case, what does one do....call back periodically to see if the rate they have is the best available? Or if one of these magical rates pops up?
How do you experts do it????
Now may be the time to book with AAA. My membership expired. They sent me a letter saying that January is AAA month with Disney. The promo is that you get a free year of the basic membership with every Disney booking through AAA.
Your package is nothing but the rack rate (-aaa discount) of your room, full price tickets, and dining. There is no discount per-se just because you book it as a package. The only place that can book aaa packages is at aaa so they are the only ones you can get an official quote from. You could try going online aaa.com and getting a quote that way if you want an official one they wont make you provide your aaa number but it will take a few days. or call other aaa offices you do not have to use your local one. people in texas can use the new jersey office.www.mousesavers.com said:During Value Season you can get up to 15% off at the Disney Deluxe and Disney Vacation Club resorts, or 20% off at the Value and Moderate resorts and the Ft. During Peak Season and Summer Season you can usually get up to 10% off at the Disney Deluxe and Disney Vacation Club resorts, or 15% off at the Value and Moderate resorts.
The only time AAA/CAA discounts don't usually apply is Holiday Season (around Christmas) at the Value and Moderate resorts.
