My AAA TA charged me a deposit of #319.09 for our 3 night trip instead of what Disney would have charged us $200.00. I told her to cancel because I wanted to add a night with the YQE code and she could not get the price I was getting from Disney. This was before the 45 day limit (2 days before due date). Now she said she was able to get me a good deal and if I want to cancel my AAA and keep what I have with Disney then I will only get $200.00 credit back. So I am out 119.09. Is this right? She says that she left a message of my answering machine which is untrue. But it is her word against mine.

Well all I can say that AAA just lost my business for good. Never used them for anything anyway. This has left a really bad taste in my mouth.

I didn't have a package--just room ressies from AAA that I cancelled for BRP room. But I got my whole deposit back (one night). Do you have any confirmation or other info that would have their cancellation policy outlined?

If it says you should get it all back, then I'd call back and ask to speak to her manager.

We just went to see our AAA TA and he just added another day to our package with one more park hopper day and another day of dinning. He did not charge us any type of fee or anything. When he called Disney they first told him that the package was sold out for Pop. Somehow he got it for us anyway and it only added $112 to our total price. If I were you I would investigate. If they don't do anything about it I would never do business with them again either. I hope you get all your money back.

Almost sounds to me like she screwed up something and is trying to get you to pay for it. I'd definitely be calling and speaking to a supervisor.

That honestly doesnt sound right. Did you happen to book air with the trip? If so then you pay for that up front. But I doubt the air would be that cheap if more than one of you is going.

Be firm with you AAA agent - make her break down what the deposit was for (i.e. if it was for some extra other than the disney package). Be firm but demand your money back.

When the new discount came out my CAA agent was on holiday - I left a message with another agent to have the new discount applied if it was to my advantage. I did not hear back from them until 5 days later, and I had already rebooked directly through disney.

The CAA travel office is supposed to be open from 9 - 6pm every day but 2 days in a row I went in to cancel what I had booked through them and both times there were no agents there.

When I finally got someone in the office (not the agent I had booked through) they tried to tell me the $200 deposit was non refundable (52 days out). I had to insist that it was refundable and she called someone at AAA travel - Disney and they confirmed that it was completely refundable.

Like you, I will never go through CAA/AAA again unless it is absolutely positively the only way to get a discount.

Be polite but firm.
