AAA Rates

Value Season: 15% off at Value, Deluxe and Deluxe Villa (Disney Vacation Club) resorts; 20% off at Moderate resorts and Ft. Wilderness cabins and campsites.

Regular Season: 10% off at the Deluxe and Deluxe Villa (Disney Vacation Club) resorts; 10%-15% off at Value and Moderate resorts and Ft. Wilderness cabins and campsites.

Peak Season and Summer Season: 10% off at all resorts.

That is from Mousesavers, for 2009 :)
Disney has just released its 2010 "seasons". There is "Holiday Season 1", "Holiday Season 2", "Regular Season weekdays", etc. I think AAA will need to make significant changes to its rate structure, too!

Yes, we booked today for the regular season and got 10% off.
I'm hoping that there will be a better discount code coming out for next year :D

I just booked 5 nights at AKL CL for June 2010 at the AAA discount (10% off).... I'm happy with that for now.... Will watch to see if something better comes along.....

I booked a package today for the end of Jan first week of feb with AAA and got a BIG $40.00 off!! Whats the deal? We were going to stay 7 days at pop but it was only discounting $70.00 off of $2345.00 so I shortened the package.
I Booked a 5 day package 6 day pass Sunday - Thursday and booked a AAA room only for that Friday. so I ended up saving over $300.00 doing it that way Big savings for just one day.:goodvibes

So, has anyone booked CBR, or another moderate, for early Jan? Did you get the suggested 20%(noted in a pp post, forgot to quote), discount for your trip? Need to get the AAA rate at least!

Also, in regards to using your AAA card, do they take it at Disney restaurants and give any discount on your meals?

Also, does anyone know, since they have the different prices for different nights, they don't still charge all nights of your ressie at the rate or season of the first night of your trip, leading to having to do split stays to take advantage of season changes, do they? Hopefully that made sense, lol!

OK, I just called to add our AAA number. We are coming April 2-10, 2010 the 4th is Easter. I was told they will not apply AAA discounts during that time because it is Easter. UGH!!!!

They might have changed the AAA discounts for 2010, so I think it would be safe to say that you would get at least 10% off of a CBR room, I don't want to lead you onto thinking that you might get a higher discount because those percentages that I posted before were from 2009.

I don't think that they give you discounts on your meals at WDW/at the Disney restaurants for using your AAA card, because we have never gotten one discount at a restaurant in WDW for that. It would be nice though, but highly unlikely that I am aware of.

I think I understand what you are saying about the season changes. No, they will not charge you for the same season as the first night of your trip. For example if you are in value season for a couple of nights and then the season changes to peak, they will charge you peak season price for the days that you are staying in the peak season, not the value. I wish they still charged you the same price all along, but Disney has found yet another way to make money.

Hopefully that helped!

I'm sorry to hear that.
I guess because of the prices that they charge during the Easter season, if you were to get your 10% discount than you'd save some serious cash and of course, Disney would not like that ;)

Yesterday, I got 10% on Port Orleans Riverside for June 2-10. We will settle for that for now and pray for some kind of discount/promotion!!! We had the 4/3 deal this past June and my fingers are crossed for something like that again. :thumbsup2

We got a AAA discount for President's week when I made the reservaton on August 2. I was not impressed with the discount. We can only hope for some good codes.:surfweb:

Last year we went during Thanksgiving week and stayed at POP. I don't know what kind of magic we pulled off, but we wound up with a really good AAA discount (like just over 20%).

We're planning our next vacation for Thanksgiving 2010 and hoping for another good discount. :lmao:

Kind of a newbie here (haven't been to WDW since 2002, Waaaaay too long!) so I'm trying to get the code thing straight and have a couple of questions.

We are planning to come sometime in April and have a family of 5 and thus, our accommodations come in cheaper by staying at a moderate, than in a value suite. (I think Port Orleans came in the cheapest, at $1308 for 5 nights) We are also considering upgrading to the Wilderness Cabins, because they look so cool :) Do they go fast? Should I be securing a reservation for those now? Are discount codes open to the general public or just (recent) past visitors? If I secure a ressie now.... and a code becomes available.... will I easily be able to apply that discount to my current reservation or am I locked into the original price/plan? What kind of deposit does disney ask for and is that deposit fully refundable if we decide to make alternate arrangements? If we get a good enough deal we might just be able to swing a short cruise out of Port Canaveral as well!

Thanks for helping to answer my questions!

Just booked deluxe in value for July 2010. AAA discount was exactly 15 percent across the board for all room categories.

We booked a stay for that week today with our AAA agent and got a 10% on the room rate. Not a great discount, but at least it was something for a peak week. Not sure why you didn't get that same discount.

The AAA agent I spoke to yesterday emailed me back with a package quote this morning for POP in May. It was about 10% off a standard room. I asked for a quote for a preferred, so I have to call her today. I'm guessing it's only 10% though.
The 100 dollar savings btwn AAA and Disney makes me want to book with AAA. That's 100 dollar for something while I'm down there.

Whoa! It has been awhile for you! The quote you got for PO sounds really good if that included tickets. Not sure how fast Wilderness goes, but April is a very busy month with many surrounding states giving kids a week off for Spring Breaks. I couldn't get a single room in val or mod last year during that time. Had to stay off site :guilty: It wasn't pretty!

Yes, if you book a spot now and a code comes out you can apply it or they cancel and rebook you, whatever it takes to get you the best rate. I've done this myself through Disney Travel and AAA did it for me this year too when a free dining pin came out.

They ask for a $200 deposit and then payment in full 45 days out. I have a Disney Visa and they give 6 months 0% interest on any disney package that includes tickets & room. That means when I make my final payment 45 days from the time I go, I can still have 6 months to pay for my trip with no interest. (Not that I'd do that, I prefer to pay before I vacation or else it's no fun.) Still, if you need a little buffer just to get your cruise in there, you know you've got that 0% option on your Visa.

Hope that helps! :yay:

Hi. I can't say for sure how April books up, but I can tell you that the Cabins were the last non-deluxe options to fill up for free dining and for the fall room discount. I think folks are afraid of them, so sometimes they only take them as a last resort. Personally, I'd say the cabins in April would be WONDERFUL. Weather, plenty of activities, and a nice shaded deck to sit outside, barbecue and enjoy your time at WDW.

We'll be there for two weeks in August and can't wait!

Called Monday and booked POR 1/7-1/13 for $1039.53. Called back yesterday when I heard the AAA rates were in fact out for my dates and the rate went down to $831.66. So, 20%.

PS We stayed in a cabin last month. We loved it!!! Lots of info on cabins on the camping board.

Thanks ladies! Good to know that the cabins are as cool as I thought they might be! And a huge plus is that they also have a kitchen. So if there are no dining deals out, we can make our own meals.

Re: AAA discount. I'm wondering if my niece can book our trip through her membership and we can take advantage of the discount?? It would be like a "gifted" trip? hmmmm..... always the budgeter!! LOL!
