Does anyone know when the 2009 AAA rates come out? I am trying to book 3 nites in April but the rate is so high! Granted, it is Easter week but I was hoping to get some kind of discount with AAA.

Thanks!

I can't answer your question, but I'm wondering the same thing. I just booked my room for July 2009 at PBH and the AAA rates were not out yet. I guess I'll have to keep checking and call back when they are. I know in past years, I've booked well in advance (10 to 11 months) and the AAA rates were out at the time I booked. Does anyone know how far in advance they come out now?

I'm also in your 'Waiting boat'. I'm going in April. I've heard (from people on this website), that the average is 10 months - 1 year before the time you want to go. But for some reason, it's not happening in this case. As of yesterday (September 4th), there were NO discount rates available. No one can tell me exactly when they will come out. My advice....call once a week.

AAA rates for 2009 are out now. I just booked my dates in March (two nights - Fri & Sat) at Portofino. The discount was 10%. Better than nothing but still a spendy room. Plus given that my son is now 19, I get charged the extra adult charge.

Today I called and booked a king suite for the price of a regular room for June 4th -June 7th with AAA at the RPR.

Lori, you'll have to call. I rebooked my room using our YouFirst with Lowes, so I have a king suite for the price of a standard room. The standard price is 228. I'd buy an annual pass-the less expensive one-it pays for itself with a room discount and other discounts on food and merchandise in the park. The APs are $114.00 right now.

That price is for the power pass. You only get discounts on multi-day tickets. For discounts on rooms and merch, you need the preferred $199.99 or premier pass $279.95.

I booked a room with my Power Pass in May no problem. I called today and booked 2 rooms in Nov using my daughter's Power Pass and my Power Pass and again no problem.
They didn't even ask to see my pass maybe that's why I had no problems.

Did you tell them it was a power pass when you booked?

If they didn't ask to see your pass at check in, well I think that's hit or miss. Just be prepared to pay rack rate if they do.

No, I just said that I wanted to book a room using my annual pass. My husband said he booked our room 2 years ago with his Power Pass. When we go next time, I'll have to renew anyway and I'll buy the Preferred Pass.

I use to be a PP AP holder until I realized I couldn't get a room discount with it. We are now preferred AP holders. We stayed in April and I was asked to show my AP when I checked into the HRH. Here is what it says on the AP website for the current AP discounted rooms:

*Must present valid Preferred Annual Pass at check-in. Price is per room, per night and does not include sales tax. Rooms at this promotional rate are limited. Black out dates and arrival/departure restrictions may apply. Advance reservations are required. Rate is based on Standard room category. Additional charges apply for different room categories. Offer is not valid with other promotional offers, group, or negotiated rates. This offer does not qualify for LoewsFirst benefits. Rates subject to change without advance notice. Savings are off of rack rate. Rates vary on Friday & Saturday nights and 8/31/08.

I thought this year they where a lot more strict on seeing the card ,wether it be Triple A or Annual passes , as on previous years they never seemed to check.
Would definetly buy the Prefeered pass , otherwise you get hit with the rack rate.

Your right Robert cause when I went to the RPR this year and had the AAA rate they told me they had to see my AAA card or I couldn't get the rate that I booked or they would charge me the rack rate.

Hi Lawerence, have you booked for July yet.

No not yet Robert
Waiting on DW to figure out when she wants to go cause I know it is in July just when is still up in the air :rotfl:
