AAA Rate

The AAA discount isn't available to book online. Call the 407-939-5277 and when you book your room ask them to apply the discount if its available.

When you call Disney, ask if there are any AAA room only discounts available.

Not true. You can call Disney directly and book with a AAA discount. They just ask for your membership #

You're both right.

AAA rates can only go on a room only reservation. AAA would have to book a package with their rate.

Do AAA rates happen all the time, for all rooms. For example, if a room only discount comes out and excludes a certain resorts/room type, can you still get a AAA discount?

Here is some really good info from Mousesavers regarding AAA rooms

AAA and CAA Disney Resort Hotel Discounts

American Automobile Association (AAA) and Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) members qualify for room only discounts almost year-round, though there are a limited number of rooms available for each date.

AAA/CAA members can generally save 10%-25% off 2013 rack rates at the Disney resort hotels, depending on the season:

Value resorts 10% off all seasons except Holiday season
Moderate resorts 10% off Regular, Peak and Summer seasons; 15% off Value 2 and Fall seasons; 20% off Value season; no discount for Holiday season
Beach Club, BoardWalk Inn and Yacht Club resorts 15% off Regular, Fall, Peak and Summer seasons; 20% off Value and Value 2 seasons; no discount for Holiday season
All other Deluxe resorts 15% off Value season; 10% off all other seasons except Holiday season
Saratoga Springs and Old Key West 25% off all seasons except Holiday season
All other Deluxe Villa resorts 15% off Peak season; 20% off all other seasons except Holiday season
Ft Wilderness cabins 10% off Peak season; 15% off Regular and Fall seasons; 20% off Value season; not discount for Holiday season

AAA/CAA rates for all of the following year are usually released in the summer. 2013 AAA/CAA room only discounts were released on 7/11/12.

You dont have to book AAA/CAA rates through the Auto Club. Room-only reservations with an AAA discount can be booked directly through the Disney Reservation Center at (407) W-DISNEY or a travel agent who specializes in Disney travel. Just ask if there is an AAA or CAA discount for your dates and resort.

To reserve a room with the AAA/CAA rates, call the Disney Reservations Center at (407) W-DISNEY or contact a travel agent who specializes in Disney travel.

ETA: Discount rates for 2014 haven't changed as far as I know. I have a RO booked for 4/19/14 with no AAA discount (holiday season) and another for 04/26/2014 & 04/27/2014 with a 10% discount at POR.

Ok so after reading this thread I went back to my old reservation # that I booked a couple months ago. I had asked for a AAA discount at the time, but there were none showing yet (for 2014).

I just called and asked again for the room discount on my already booked nights at a deluxe and I saved $475. :cool1:

My mom booked our room (POR, last week of March 2014) and she asked for a AAA discount. It only saved us fifty bucks for four nights, so about 5%. That is barely anything- very disappointing.

It's small, but it's something. Keep watching and maybe another discount will become available.

The other perks that AAA offers if you book a package with dining plan are pretty cool! We've done the story time at Epcot, and the first time, there was only us and one other family in there, then the second time, there was maybe 5 families. Both times for us, we had Princess Jasmine. Then they offer special viewing for Wishes. We've never done it before because even a few months out, its always been booked solid, but we are doing it this November! We don't drive to the parks, as my DD thinks the buses are just as fun as the rides, but I've heard the AAA parking pass is right beside the handicapped parking.

To add to this, the story time and viewing for fireworks have been discontinued for 2014 (OP didn't mention when they were going).

Oh really?? Boo! I wonder why? I guess in 2014 I will book my own package!! Those were the only reason I use a TA!

Ugh!! yes you're right, my TA at AAA just confirmed that they have discontinued the preferred fireworks view:mad:
