Just wondered if anyone knows if this sounds right thru AAA? I requested a quote thru AAA Dec 17-25 with Dining and hopper tix. They quoted me $1722.86 with insurance- this also includes their $25 fee for booking, and taxes. Same quote thru Disney site is 1823.02 incl insurance and taxes. After I pay the $60 to join I would only be saving $40. Seems right??? I know AAA has other benefits but when I bought new car last year (Hyundai) I received free towing etc for as long as I own it so the autoclub is not something I need. Just thought maybe you experts would know--thanks a million!! :flower:

The AAA discount on value and moderate rooms during value season (which is when your vacation begins) is 20%. The rack rate for a value is $77/night during value season. That would mean that you would save $15/night or $120 for the trip, before even considering the taxes. Nor is it even considering that a AAA package should include a discount on the tickets, too. It's possible that there are no longer any AAA discounted rooms available for your resort and those dates. I think that I'd contact another agent and get another quote.

That sounds about right. This is for value resort, 2 adults and 1 child under 3, right? :flower: Considering AAA is charging the $25, it's close to what I calculate out. Too bad different AAA's charge this. Mine didn't.

You're saving 20% off the nightly room rate, which takes it down from $77 per night to approx. $61.60 plus tax per night. Which totals around $107 discount before taxes. Not the best discount, but any little bit helps!

As you said, AAA is great due to its motor club benefits, plus you can use it to save at many other places (stores, hotels, local businesses, etc.).

Hope you have a great time!

Just make sure the packages include the exact same things. When I got my quote from AAA they included a transportation charge (which should have been nothing because we would be able to take advatage of the Magic Transportation Disney is offering) and they added trip insurance. The quote I got from the Disney website was only $40 or so more then the AAA quote becasue of that (we are staying at AKL). Review everything in your package quotes and make sure they are the same. We got our best quotes through a Disney travel agent, like the DIS people, using our AAA room discount (I have since gotten an e-mail code and have a better rate).

We have had AAA for several years and it has helped me soooo much! I tend to make a yearly habit of locking my keys in my car, :mad:and they have shown up within 20-30 minutes and set them free for me! :hyper: Also, no matter whose car you are in, you are protected with all of their services (towing, tire change, gas). It's a peace of mind thing for us now. Good luck on getting better rates. When I got mine, I ended up choosing the room only rate with AAA discount booked through Disney (better deal than pkg). I thought they told me tickets/or pkg's were not discounted? I should check again

I think there might be a small discount (not sure since my quote was for the full package price). I was going to book through CRO but couldn't use the AAA discount and add the dining, so that's why I booked through a AAA agent. Plus I will get $25 Disney Dollars at check-in due to a January AAA promo.

I use our AAA for hotel discounts all the time. Love it!

Thanks everyone, I just wanted to make sure that the quote sounded right-btw is was 2 adults and 1 child under 3 at Pop- sorry I was brain dead last night and hadnt added that info :confused3
Guess we are going to go ahead and book--am scared I wont get my room if I wait too long! Thanks again!
