AAA Question (Disney Package)

Hi Guys,
The new AAA World came out, and on the 3rd or 4th page they had a Disney ad. The ad stated that these were "exclusive AAA benefits." What are they? Are they really worth anything at all?

1. Enjoy an intimate storytelling experience with a character from a classic Disney feature in the Magic Kingdom Park.
2. AAA Vacations Diamond Card provides savings and values on select dining, merchandise, recreation and more.
3. AAA Preferred parking at all four Walt Disney World Theme Parks.

I have gotten a quote from them, and the quote is right in line with what I would expect. $1290.52 for 7 nights with base tickets. (2 adults, 2 kids.)

and the only benefit I have really used is the Diamond Parking Pass. This pass allows you to park in parking areas at each of the parks that are up close and very near handicapped parking.

It is very useful at AK, MGM and EPCOT. At the TTC, sometimes you are better off parking where they send you and taking the tram. AAA parking is not served by the trams and you have to walk, which is not a bad thing but you are going under the overpass and it's a bit of a hike. There are certain blackout dates for AAA parking as well at some of the parks.

We did not take advantage of the storytelling, as my boys were not interested. Also, I have never used the discounts, since if I think there is one to be had, I have my AAA card with me, and I also have APs so I get discounts through that too.

If your AAA agent is not charging you any additional cost for the benefits, then you might want to do it with them, but you won't get much other than the ability of getting the AAA room discount as well as purchasing the dining plan, if you are looking to do that. Only AAA agents can give you the room discount AND the dining plan at the same time. If you're going during free dining, you can't keep the room discount, so if you don't think the other benefits are worth it, I'd book through Disney directly.

The above are the "standard" benefits in addition to the room discount.
I got them in the last trip to WDW as well.
