I see people selling their vouchers on ebay for a lot of money. My question is are they worth the money and do they really work?princess:

I don't think so.... Personally I didn't see any advantage in using the AAA Parking Pass.

And I definitely wouldn't pay money for them.

I belong to AAA and have used the AAA parking diamond card. Are they worth a lot of money. No. I feel sorry for anyone who is purchasing these on ebay. You still have to pay for the parking. Each of the four parks have a designated area forthe AAA diamond parking. It really just allows you to get closer enough so that you don't have to use a tram. You still have to walk.

Just a note but you get the AAA parking pass at AAA for free.

It depends which park you are going to:

EPCOT is the best AAA parking. it is with the handicap and RV parking VERY close to the Entrance.

AK: Also with handicap and RV parking. Not as close as EPCOT, but still within easy walking distance.

MGM: The AAA parking is near the end of the rows close to the tram stops.

MK: I never used it, but you have to park at the TTC anyway.

No, I wouldn't pay for one. We had one for a couple of trips, and it made the walk with the giant stroller a little easier, but what is 50 yards, when you are walking Disney all day?

Sorry to hijack this post, but I have a question. If I'm a AAA member, all I have to do is go to my local AAA office and pick one of these up - is that how it works? Or, do I have to be a special level of AAA member? Thanks!

My mother went to our local AAA office and asked for one and the guy gave her 3. Sometimes you get them if you book a package or buy tickets from them. One year I went to AAA and told them that I already bought my tickets through them and found out about the parking pass and they gave it to me. I really bought my tickets through another agency.

I had an extra pass two years ago which I gave to a friend but I'll admit I was tempted to sell it on Ebay. When I looked to see how much people were getting, upwards to $50 and $60 I became concerned that they thought it was for free parking. Some of the listings mentioned that it was NOT free parking, others just reiterated what was on the voucher itself which is a bit misleading. Even the ones that were forthright were fetching $40 or so. I thought with my luck someone will win the bid and not read the listing properly (because I would have been honest about the NO free parking) and it would have led to issues so... gave it to a friend and feeling pretty good about that:thumbsup2 This past year I had another voucher and someone on craigslist was asking for one for $10 -- Sold! That seemed fair and we communicated prior to the sale -- she knew exactly what she was getting and felt that the $10 was worth it so... it all is good.

What exactly is this parking pass for? If not for free or discounted parking?

And is it good at Seaworld too ?

hannah03: Basically it allows you to park closer to the entrance and avoid the tram ride. Depending on the park, it can save you 5 or 10 minutes and 100-200 steps:thumbsup2 but hardly worth what they're paying for them on Ebay IMHO.

Okay well I am a AAA member so I can get them for free, right?

Some say yes, some say no that you can only get the pass if you book your disney trip through AAA (which, why wouldn't you?)

Well I didn't because I couldn't afford to have it paid off 45 days in advance. I need another 2 weeks lee-way. So I ended up paying the same price but seperate transactions :)

Sorry Hannah03, I didn't realize there was a difference in the time payment needed to be made, I really wasn't being "fresh";)

Officially, you have to purchase a Disney Vacation package in order to get the Diamond parking voucher. You may however get lucky with your local AAA, can't hurt to ask.

I am a AAA Member and I called my local office and they said I had to book a package or buy tickets to get the pass. They also quoted me double the price of membership than what was online. I emailed the head office in Missouri and was told that as long as I am a AAA member, my pass was free no matter what. He mailed me one that week. If your local office gives you any trouble just go to the main website and contact them through there and they will be more than happy to mail you a pass. Have a wonderful time!

I contacted AAA and this is the response I received.

Thank you for contacting AAA. AAA Disney Diamond passes are issued a part of
our AAA package benefits offered to our members who book packages through AAA.
This pass is sent directly from Disney with AAA Packages.

AAA Internet Help Desk.

I'm going to stop by my local office and see if I have any better luck.

I don't know if I am allowed to post email addresses so if this gets deleted, I understand- But here is the person who I contacted directly who sent me the parking pass with no purchase neccessary. RElliott@aaamissouri.com

Here is the message I received when I contacted them-----

As long as you are an AAA menber the office has the diamond parking pass available. It gets you parking closer to the entrance. We also get discount prices on packages to Disney.
Any other questions please ask.
Thanks Lynn

Maybe it just depends on which office you contact but I think it shoud be the same no matter what if you pay your membership fees.

 I sent an email to the main headquaters in my area. I am still waiting for a response. Thank you for all the helpful responses.

While we are on the subject of parking- I have a question....

If you pay for parking at one park and hop to another- Do you have to pay to park each time you hop?
