AAA Parking Pass?

Do these still exist? I realize that resort residents get free parking within Disney but I thought I heard that at one time AAA members got preferred spots (close to the entrances?). If these still exist is it only if you order a package through AAA or are they available to any member? Our local AAA isn't so great...can't even get on their website to research this.

AAA passes are still available and you usually have to purchase a package or park tickets from AAA. YOu sill have to pay to park and you get a spot closer to the front. And you won't find this info on the AAA website

Various AAA offices have different requirements. Some just five them to you, some need you to buy park passes from them, while others have you buy an entire package. It's up to each office to decide.
I've been in a car that used one. Yes, you got to park closer. But in all reality? It just wasn't that big a deal. Especially at MK. It doesn't get you free parking either. There is always some confusion regarding that. If you aren't staying on site or have an AP, you have to pay to park....even with the AAA parking thing.

Thank. Yes, we will stay on site but I would like a car to avoid the Disney buses. Sounds rather time consuming from WL to eat at other resorts or go to any park other than MK. Still in the research stage although set on WL in Nov.
