Has anyone recently purchased a WDW ticket from AAA? I know in the past, they sent out vouchers which you exchanged when at WDW for the real deal. I know they send out e-tickets. But, what if you want to book your FP+ in advance (especially for those staying on-site)? Hoping to be able to buy my 4 day Florida Resident Pass with them.

I know with the vouchers you get from the Disney website, you can scan them using your phone and MDE. Does the same work with AAA e-tickets when buying the FL Resident tix??

Thanks so much!

We bought tickets at AAA last month for our trip in Sept and received actual tickets. We had no problem linking them to MDE.

Are either of you Florida residents? In the past it was always different because you had to show proof of residence. That's why AAA sent out vouchers.

Not a Florida resident. Don't know what happens if you don't actually go to the AAA office, since one would obviously show their ID then if they did. Just sharing what my recent experience was.

If as you now get linkable tickets once you have entered the first Park you can the go to Guest Services and pay for your upgrade.

Sorry not a FL resident. I didn't realize the process worked differently for you. Hope someone else can answer this for you. :goodvibes

The following is what I have been told by Disney and AAA(Auto Club South):

You should be able to buy from AAA and receive an email in like 2 days of purchase. This email will have the numbers needed to link to MDX. You will still need to present the necessary proof of FL residency before the first entry to the park. Most likely you will need to wait in the line at guest relations before entering the park. Some of the support people thought it may be sufficient to flash a FL license in the Micky Orb area.

Mind you, I wasn't given the exact procedure from all three people I spoke with. I wouldn't be surprised if the procedure to verify FL residency, reset the tickets, and blanked FP+ selections. Disney always needs to get it wrong first.

The FL 4-day tickets have blackout days now so, it may be a while before reports come back. This may explain the crickets.

One could also go into AAA office and get their ticket. This ticket will have the numbers needed on My Disney Experience. Block-out ends Aug 14th.

Yeah, definitely crickets! hehehe. But thanks so much for your helpful info. I remember I bought tix at an actual AAA office a few years ago, but I got vouchers at that time.

I bought the spring Discovery Days FL tix earlier this year via the Disney site and was able to just scan the vouchers into my MDE. You are right though, I did have to go to GR to show proof of FL residency. That's didn't erase my FP selections though. I would have been BUMMED.
