AAA discounts

I would say so. Check out their website www.aaa.com for the benefits. I'm saving 20% on my Disney resort. You get special rates on certain things like prescriptions, hotels, etc. Not to mention the peace of mind while traveling on the road! Why don't you join, they offer a 30-day free look so if you change your mind, they will give you a full refund. They also offer $25 for each referral! (hint hint) ;)

Are those the member rates when I plug in dates and hotel info? Or do I actually have to be a member to see those rates?

Can the AAA discount be combined with any other discount/coupons that may be available? Also, to qualify for the AAA discount, does the DW also have to be a member (if I join)?

Do the AAA rate discounts vary depending on where you are staying or are they based on specials from Disney that allow AAA to get better rates?

I paid $90 for my AAA. I used it one time since I bought it. I saved $115 at All-Star Music. One use and it paid for itself and them some.

My AAA card renewal is 44. Not only do I use it on hotels during the year but we also have always used it at disney, unless a better rate came up but since in the past last years they haven't offered much in summer discounts the AAA has saved us some money. But what I wanted to add was last spring break when my brother and his family went and my mom went we needed three rooms and I was able to get the AAA rate for all three rooms. This summer they will also be joining us and samething we will be getting the discount x 3.

The rates you are given if using the Disney website are Disney rates and do not include a AAA discount. I have never seen a place where you can plug your information in and get a AAA quote.

The link jagar100 provided was a AAA site w/a travel section. I was able to plug in dates and places and reserve (I didn't book but could have). I wanted to know if that was the discounted price or the regular rack rate.

I've gotten a quote for $65 per night at Allstars resorts with my AAA discount. However, I did have to play around with the dates. When I waited a few more days, it was no longer available. Right now I can only get Pop at $65 per night, during 12/04/08-12/11/08. I can get Coronado for $119.20. These are 20% discounts, and that's HUGE considering we're staying 7 nights. Just play around with the dates and resorts.
We've decided to fly, and it's cheaper to fly out in the middle of the week and most of the time it's a cheaper rate during the week at the resorts.

I was just reading some info about the AAA discounts on mousesavers.com and it said that the average discount for a value or fort wilderness reservation in the value season is around 15-20%. Then it said that discounts may not apply in the "Holiday season". Has anyone had to deal with this? Because I planned on making my reservations through AAA for the week of Dec. 6- Dec. 13 '08 for a Fort Wilderness Cabin. Has anyone had any luck with reserving through AAA in this time frame? Any info would be much appreciated!

i just got 15% off our room rates at POP thru AAA. i was also able to get the discount for everyone else that was meeting me there (3 other ressies of non family members that booked thru disney) the discount, too.

AAA also gets you a nice discount at Circuit City...8% on purchases over $199. That's tax around here and has come in QUITE handy for us! :thumbsup2

Well, after reading all the posts about AAA and getting tired of never getting a good code or discount for disney, I purchased a membership this morning.

The membership cost me $54 on their website. My spouse gets free membership the first year.

I then called disney and booked a room only reservation at POFQ standard view room. I saved 15% for Oct 18 - 25th.

I had a previous reservation for that time frame for 185.62 per night with tax included. Now, it's 157.79 per night tax included.

So, I saved $194.81 on my disney room. After the $54 membership fee for AAA, I saved a total of $140.81. Not bad considering I know I won't be paying rack rate for the first time ever.

Well I checked the AAA website and got a quote on the Fort Wilderness cabins for time in Dec. (which I'm assuming is "holiday time") and they still gave me a discounted quote... so I'm guessing that the discounts still apply. Which will be nice. I'm still waiting on an official quote AAA is sending me, so I'll know more soon.
