If we have made a room only reservation with Disney already for late May and I decide to join AAA now will I be able to get the AAA rate for my room? Is there any waiting period with AAA?

You will need to call the reservations line and find out if they have any rooms left with the AAA discount. All you need to make this discounted reservation is your AAA number.

I was not asked for my AAA number. They say you need to show it at check-in. So as long as you have the card before you go to WDW you will be okay.

Keep in mind it's based on availability. So, call and ask about AAA rates for your dates/resort. I really like using AAA room only. I usually search online for the rack rate, and then when I call compare the quote for AAA room only.

I just wanted to say in the past I've never needed the AAA number at the time I made my reservation, but this time, both my sil and I needed the number before they would apply the discount. They said it was a new policy.

Not sure if it's new or they're cracking down on the rules, but we needed it.

I called today about AAA discount for June - I only have my temporary AAA ID card since I just joined. The CM tried to book using my temporary ID and it would not work....I have to call again when I get my permanent card.. I have existing reservations and but there has to be AAA availability before I can get the discount.

That's strange, in the past, I think my temp number was always the same as my permanent number. Plus I don't think they actually check if it belongs to you do they? When you check in they take the card and see your name and expiration date.
