Anyone here use AAA for a discounted room only? I'm just curious about what they offer. I've done a little bit of research and it seems like the discounts are in the 10-15% range.

If all other discounts fail (ie: AP rates) then this may be something I'd like to pursue. Any information appreciated.

we are currently booked room only with AAA disc. 10% savings
Booked thru CRO. If a better discount cames out, great. If not, oh well saved a little

We have a AAA ressie for the Contemporary for the 2nd week of December. The AAA rate was 15% off the rack rates. Hoping there will be better AP rates soon!

I too have AAA booked room at CR not sure what the % off is but my 1 nights deposit including tax was $226.51. Not great but I'll take any discount over rack rate. I too am hoping for a good ap rate for December, we check in the last day of value season.

Nice bonus with AAA is balance is due at check in, not 21 days ahead like DC. And when I first called for room rates they had both DC and AAA available for my dates, called less than a week later and all that was left was AAA.

I have one night booked at WL in October. The price was $266/night (inc. tax). With the AAA discount, the total is now $215 including tax. Not too bad (but still waiting for the AP discounts) ;)

Can you only get AAA rates for Mods and Deluxe resorts? Or can you also get them for value resorts?

You can get them at all resorts, if available. If you are a AAA member, you can get rates from their website. They are usually the same as Disney Club, 10%-20% depending on the resort & season.

When I booked with the AAA discount in Jan. (before switching to FTP), the discounts were 20% off moderate resort rates and 15% off deluxe resort rates for our August trip.

We have to go this coming winter during peak season (:( ) and have booked room only with AAA discount of 10% thru CRO. Basically 10% pays your room taxes and fees, not great but better than nothing. I'll be watching closely for some kind of discount code for late Feb. ;)

Originally I had booked a room only AAA discount for a 1 bdrm @ BCV - regular rate is $390.00, AAA is $369.00. So, not great, but better than regular rate. I still had to purchase park tickets, etc. I too was waiting to see if any AP discounts came out. When the FTP came out, I jumped on it. It was totally worth it. I'm saving a substantial amount of money and this includes the ultimate park hopper passes. But, hey, even 10-15% is better than nothing. You can also get your park tickets for a discounted price too. Good luck and enjoy yourselves down there!!!!! I've got less than a month to go.........................

Anyone know if AAA rates are available for next summer yet?

I believe........... now don't quote me......... but I think that AAA discounts stay the same (your best bet would be to contact them for definate answers). The only difference would be that most likely Disney would be adjusting their room rates. But, you might be able to get this years rates for next year. I also think that if your specific hotels' rates decrease between now and then you can have your package adjusted. Good luck and happy planning!

I booked a room only AAA reservation through CRO last August. I will be staying at POR during Thanksgiving week of 2003. I got a rate of 20% off the rack rate for that time of year.
