AAA Discounted Tickets

I have a AAA membership and can see from my "local" website that there are 4-day and 5-day Magic Your Way Park Hopping (Expiring in 14 days) tickets available through the site.

Last year, I purchased a ticket for my hubby from the website (5-day Hopper - expire in 14 days) and before we left, I upgraded the ticket to a 10-day Park Hopper - Non-Expiring ticket at Guest Services. I was able to receive a AAA discount on this ticket.

My question is --

Does anyone know the cost of a 6-day Park Hopper (Expire in 14 days) Magic Your Way Ticket with the AAA discount from Guest Relations in the Parks?

You cannot purchase new tickets with the AAA discount anywhere but at a AAA office or web site. The price varies from one AAA territory to another. It isn't the same everywhere. You cannot get them at WDW.

When you upgraded last year, your tickets kept the discount you already had from AAA on the old ticket and you were charged the difference in gate price between the two.

This isn't true. The price I paid for the ticket was way less than the gate price. It even indicated that it was a AAA ticket.

I thought I would end up paying the difference in price, but ended up paying way less, which in my mind, was a great bonus.

Thanks for trying to answer my question though. I'll keep trying to find the right answer.

Be careful re AAA "Discount Rates". I reserved a room last March for the 20% off rooms from Dec.4-9. I went in yesterday to convert it to a package at the "AAA Discount Rate" and it came out to $200 MORE than on the Disney website. Same date, same tickets, same dining plan. I called them today and got a major runaround. The TA I worked with said she "didn't know why" it was more and that I was the THIRD client who had had that difficulty. If that was the case. you would think THEY would find out WHY. But all they care about is getting their commission. When I really pressed them for the reason, they said I was getting some "perks" like free parking (can't use it because we are using Disney Transportation) and discounts on meals (can't use it because we are on the dining plan---which THEY sold me!) I now have a complaint lodged with the BBB. Don't make the same mistake I did in believing that a AAA Discount Rate means you are actually getting a discount. You're not!
