How much is the AAA discount? Do you book this at Disney or your local AAA?

I booked at my local AAA, I don't know how much the discount is, but I saved $200 with them over what booking with Disney online would have charged me, plus they have some small perks.

I booked thru Disney.

I booked my original non-discounted room last Saturday for $2372.72 for 7 nights & then I remembered I could do a AAA rate with them & I called & changed it and the final total came to $2014.00.

I checked AAA prior to calling & it was the same rate that AAA had.

The Disney reservationist just took down my AAA number & told me I needed to show it at check in.

So it saved us $350 ish

I booked through a TA and received a 20% discount on POFQ December 18th-26th. She had to have my membership # and my confirmation paper states that I must show my membership card at check-in.

If you want the AAA discount off the room-portion of a AAA package (room, MYW tickets + dining), you must book through a AAA agency.

You can book room-only AAA discounts through Disney or any other travel agency (subject to availability).

Value Season
15% off at the Disney Deluxe and Home-Away-From-Home resorts
20% off at the Value and Moderate resorts and Ft. Wilderness campsites.

Regular Season
10% off at the Disney Deluxe and Home-Away-From-Home resorts
15% off at the Value and Moderate resorts and the Ft. Wilderness campsites.

Peak Season
10% off at the Disney Deluxe and Home-Away-From-Home resorts
15% off at the Value and Moderate resorts.

AAA/CAA discounts don't usually apply around Christmas

The way it was explained to me is that the AAA discount is 10% for the deluxe resorts and 15% for the value and moderates. You can book room only reservations with the discount from either Disney or AAA, but if you want the MYW package with a AAA discount, you must book through AAA. (By the way, with the package, the discount only applies to the room, not the dining plan or park passes.)

That is correct for regular or peak season.

The other season discounts are listed in my previous post in this thread. We saved 15% off a deluxe (WL) for value season.
