AAA discount?

Has anyone used AAA discounts to book a room? Just wondering if it's worth joining?

Booked Coronado Springs yesterday and paid $118 for a water view room which would normally go for $148. It appears as if there is a decent savings on moderates (20%). I don't believe it is as significant a savings on a deluxe - more like 10%.

The AAA Discount can range from 10-20% based on season including some Deluxe Resorts.

We booked the Poly LVC for 9/21 - 10/1 ( Value season) using AAA. Saving $80 /night for 10 nights. So $80 cost of family AAA saving $800 on room. Also get a pretty good discount on eyeglasses also.

I booked CBR for October 20-24. 5 nights for $469, including tax. That is cheaper than the $94/night pretax rate at the BBY rate in the newspaper. I also booked PC for September 15-17. 3 nights for $206, incl tax. Again, cheaper than the BBY pretax rate. But for some reason, the WL for the October trip was over $1000 at the AAA discount. Don't get that.... You can also get a small discount on theme park tickets, park hoppers, Sea World, Universal, movie tickets..... We have been members for years and years, and have always gotten our money's worth..

I got 15% maybe 10% (I forget anyways) off the Wilderness Lodge 8/23-8/26 with a AAA discount through disney. You can get alot of other discounts with AAA.

We booked our trip this year to POFQ through the AAA Travel Agency and saved 10% off the rate I received from Disney's Central Reservations asking for the AAA rate. Also IMHO AAA is well worth it if you plan on staying in any other hotels this year, or if you have a vehicle with a lot of miles on it.

And if you plan on visiting IOA/Universal while you're in Orlando, you save 10% at almost all eating estbalishments and souvenir ships when you show you AAA card at purchase.

the BBY discount is for hotel stays before July 4th --that's why AAA discount is better in October than BBY--the BBY is a discount off the expensive summer rates. I originally booked my room this summer with AAA at a rate of $1045 for 4 nights at AKL--then when the BBY rates came out--I called and found out it would be $715 for the same--so I cancelled AAA and booked with BBY. If you are traveling before July 4th, use the BBY code--after that use AAA or wait for other codes to come out!

I have booked twice with AAA rate. POFQ was 118 down from
basic rate of 148. CR wing room was 204 down from 239.
This is for Dec 04 stay. BTW, CM did ask for my AAA # when
I made res.
