How much is the AAA discount on rooms and tickets? and if we need our number and card for proof upon check-in?

Your AAA discount is different for different resorts at different times of the year. Usually it is at least 10% discount. We have AAA Plus for both my husband and myself and I saved way more than the $90 it costs for a years membership. I don't believe that you have to show your AAA card at check in(I don't remember doing so last time) if you book through AAA. (which I believe is the only way to get the discount) My only advice is get a AAA rep that you like and trust. I had problems with my last AAA rep. She reserved our room for the wrong month. No problems this trip though. Just go with your gut feeling on that one. AAA also sends you little travel brochures for your trip and you can get a road map, not to mention if you have car trouble. (UGH!!!)
Good Luck!

Once the AAA codes are released you should be able to book them directly through Disney. I've done this before (2004). Just asked to have the AAA rate applied to my room only reservation. Also, at least when I did it Disney did not require a member number at the time of the reservation; they said they would check it at check-in--which means you can book a AAA prior to joining AAA if you aren't already a member. I joined prior to our trip just to get the discount.

I have AAA Plus and would like to book a room during the free dining. Is it possible to get the AAA discount AND the free dining?????

TIA!!

JULIE

From what I've read on these boards, if you call AAA directly to book the free dining package you can still get the AAA discount off the room. However you can't get the room discount if you do it through CRO.

Whoops, I just reread my post and I realized you were referring to free dining. Not sure about that. I do know you can book a AAA discounted room and add dining package to it, but that is when you're paying for dining. In other threads there is indication that you cannot get both free dining and AAA discount.

The free dining cannot be done with a AAA discount as well. They are not allowing the discounts to be "stacked".

If you plan to do the dining addon any other time of the year, you can book a package thru AAA, pay for the dining addon and get a small discount on the package over what you would have paid if you'd have booked it thru Disney or another TA.

You cannot book a room-only ressie and add the dining plan to it. The dining plan can only be added to a package ressie.

You can book a room-only ressie with a AAA discount thru CRO but if you want a package with a AAA discount, it must be done thru a AAA TA.

Is it also about 10-15% off if you book a AAA package through AAA? We have 3 discounted AAA rooms right now reserved, but I keep looking at the dining option and wonder if it is not worth it to make it into a package. I've heard that all AAA discounted rooms are POFQ are booked during our time right now and I don't want to risk losing what we already have!+

Question - How can I see the AAA room rates? I read off of Mousesavers that they are posted, but I can not seem to find them.

Thanks,
Matthew

It will be 10%-15% off the rack rate of the room portion of your package. It will not be 10-15% off of your entire package. The only way to find out if there are AAA package rooms available for your dates is to contact a AAA TA for a quote. You would not need to cancel your room-only ressie until after you've secured the package ressie.

You won't see a list of AAA room rates on MouseSavers.com. What you can do is calculate the cost yourself based on the rack rates, the seasons and the AAA discount for your selected resort and season.
