AAA discount with Disney resorts?

Hi,
I'm trying to find out AAA rates for the Disney Resorts. I can't go on the AAA website as it is too early. I thought I remember someone saying that they called Disney reservations and got AAA rates that way. I called and was told to call my AAA agent. Was that person correct or can I call Disney reservations and get a AAA discount?

I was able to bet a AAA discount for POR by just calling the main reservation number and asking. It was a room only reservation though. If you're trying to get tickets as well, you will have to go through a AAA travel agent.

I read this same question on another thread a few days. If I remember correctly, AAA discounts are around 15% off Value Resorts, 20% off Moderate and Deluxe.

If you don't want to call CRO and stay on hold forever, I understand you can get a quote on AAA rates and book through Dreams Unlimited. There should be a link to them on the Disboards home page.

According to mousesavers.com, AAA discounts vary by season and resort class. During the Value Season you get a 15% discount at Disney's deluxe resorts and Home Away from Homes and 20% at the value and moderate resorts. During Regular Season you get a 10% discount at the deluxe hotels and 15% at the value and moderates. During Peak Season you get 10% off the deluxe resorts and 15% off for the value and moderate resorts. There are no AAA Discounts for holiday seasons. Here's my example. We booked at room at POR for Jan 17-24 (Value Season) and the rack rate for that room was $133 a night. The AAA rate was $118 a night. Disney reservations quoted us the AAA rate and booked it for us even though we were not yet members. We called back after we got our membership card and added the number to our reservation, and will have to show it again upon check-in. So, you certainly should call Disney reservations and ask again.

Thanks for all the responses, my sister called again and talk to a different person who was very helpful, and said they could give AAA quotes. First person I talked to didn't seem to want to help. Room rates for the all-stars were about $10.00 off per night. And he gave us the dream maker plan prices also. Now just have to decide where we want to stay.

I recently booked the AKL, throught the CRO, for November and received a 10% AAA discount on a Savannah View room. My hold time was 2 minutes.

Hmmm, November is Value season, yet you only recieved 10% off at a deluxe.

Are not all rooms within the same resort given the same discount? Also, are not all resorts within a catagory (Value, Moderate, Deluxe) given the same discount?

Argh! Trying to understand Disney pricing and discount will make you go mad!

We called and got the AAA rate at POP Century for this Christmas. We are checking in on the 19th which is the last day of the value season with the 20th beginning the holiday season rates. I found out that if you check in during the value season and your stay continues on into a much higher rated season (e.g. high or holiday season rates), your hotel rate per night for the entire stay will be at the value season rate or the lower rate. Our 9 night stay at POP Century over Christmas is $618, which includes tax. Not bad at all and can't wait.....it's our first Christmas at WDW.

first I asked what the rate would be for the week and was quoted
$1135

then I asked if there was a AAA discount and the price came down to $955

but now Im greedy IM watching to see if theres a code !!!
