AAA discount question

Does anyone know if an AAA discount would be available on all campsites or just the premium and preferred?

I have gotten it on partial and full in the past. In fact, I got a AAA on our site for our upcoming trip in May.

I just booked a partial and got 20% off thru AAA. We are going during value season (Jan 2010) so I'm not sure if that makes a difference...

It makes a difference in my book, a savings is a savings,

AAA doesnt have discounts ALL year long,,they buy up blocks of rooms/sites from Disney at different times of the year and then pass them onto AAA menders as a discount

We too have used AAA discounts.

Our site was $35 a night with our discount! We were looking into doing a cheap cruise or something to get away from the Buffalo winter. As it turned out, Disney was our cheapest (and my personal favorite) option!
Thanks for clarifying the availability of the AAA discount. I'm thankful that the discount is offered during the time we wanted to go! Yay for discounts!

I got the AAA for the entire month of Nov last year in a full hookup (1800 loop). Since it was just a room only ressie I had to go thru CR/WDW and not AAA. I think you can only get AAA discounts from AAA for packages like a site and dining plan or site and tickets. Mid-Atlantic AAA doesn't offer room only site discounts, but this seems to vary with whatever AAA region you are affiliated with, much like the RV rider when used/needed

Just call Disney to book your campsite and ask them if the AAA discount is available. Heck, ask for any discount, it never hurts to ask.

I have not been able to book a room only with AAA discount directly thru AAA either. A word of caution on the package though. Get a quote from disney first. When I booked a package thru AAA a few years ago, their quote was actually a little bit higher than my quote from disney. It was only like $20 difference, but I thought AAA would be lower. Yes, I was comparing apples to apples. So, just because you book the package thru AAA does not mean you will get a discount. If they have no more sites/rooms left at the discount, you don't get it.

I know that for the end of February (22-27) the only AAA dis available are for "tent/partial" sites, all the full, preferred and premium have been claimed. I was also told by a Disney reservation agent that the AAA discount through Disney only applies to a room/site. If you book a package through Disney they will not give you the AAA discount on the site/room.

If you want a AAA discount on room only or site only, you can book that through Disney Reservations or your favorite travel agent.

If you want a AAA discount on a package deal, (including tickets and/or dining) it must be booked through AAA travel or your local AAA office.
