AAA discount in restaurants?

Has anyone succesfully used a AAA card for 10% off in the sit down restaurants at Universal? The guidebook I read said they accept it-

Yes they take AAA for the discount. Check each time you eat or buy anything. We were surprised more than a few times when the discount was greater than 10%.

Put your AAA card with your tickets, cash and credit cards while at Universal and bring it out (and mention it) every single time you buy something. Almost everywhere you can get a discount (meals, souvenirs, even pictures taken with Spiderman).

I carry mine in my lanyard with my tickets and room key. Not only have I used it, most places would actually ask me if I had one!

Yeah, my AAA is welded to my cash and credit cards at Universal! It's great to get that discount everywhere.

We use it all over the Universal Parks..however most of the cart stands do not take it for the discount.....

They may have accidently given you the Annual Pass discount. That one is 15%.

I was wondering about the % discount differences between AAA and AP - aside from the 5% extra discount with the AP, is there anything else that makes a AP "better" for dining than AAA? Are there any places that accept one for discount but not the other?

I noticed the places on Citywalk like NBA and NASCAR only give 10% on the AP - do those places accept the AAA and at what % discount?

AAA is good outside the theme parks.

where ever you travel, many chain motels accept AAA with a 10% discount.
also, with AAA you get the discounts when ordering on line depending on the store.

check with the website to see all the places you can use the discount.
i have used it for target.com

for the parks, there are some resturants that discount with aaa.
i would suggest you go to the city walk website to get the names of the resturants that participate. i can't remember off hand which ones do and would not want to give you wrong info on it.

The only one I know for certain is Hard Rock Cafe. They give 10% for AAA. Not sure about any of the others.
