AAA Discount for Standard AKL CL ?

Has anyone been able to book an AAA rate for the new standard AKL rooms in 2007? I tried a couple of dates late in November of 2007(off season) and there was no AAA rate available. My AAA agent was also told by Disney that maybe AKL CL was no longer available for AAA rate.I had also tried to call Disney Directly for an AAA room only rate and she said AKL CL was not available(although she did tried sprinkling some pixie dust) she said to keep trying back.I am wondering if maybe these rooms just aren't available yet,I can't imagine they are sold out already but I guess with the reduced rack rate for a standard CL room anything is possible.I am booking 2 nights at rack rate and hoping for the best.I would appreciate any information you can give me!!!!!

Hi! I am wondering the same thing. I spoke to AAA yesterday about a trip in Feb. and she was only able to quote me pool view as the least expensive. She was able to quote me standard at WL but not AKL. I was able to pull up a rate on the computer from Disney for the standard room though, so I guess maybe they are not booking these with the AAA discount. I am going to call her back today to recheck and see what happens. I will let you know if she can find anything out.

Kata, I called my AAA agent yesterday for our trip in Feb. and she was now able to book me the standard room. I would definitly keep trying. I would hope they are not already all booked, but I guess you never know. Good luck!

You're talking about Standard View Kilimanjaro Club (Concierge) right? How is this different from Deluxe Kilimanjaro Club (Concierge)? In order to have a savannah view (or pool view) do you have to book Deluxe? Where are these rooms located? Any one have any ideas?

I got it for June 07 for 2 rooms but I've cancelled it switched to POR

Thanks for the info,I am talking about the new standard conceirge level rooms which at rack rate are now $365.00 a night.Disney told my AAA agent there were no AAA CL rooms available for various dates starting 11/25/07,Disney also told my AAA agent she didn't know if AAA discount would be available on CL,but she did have other room types available at AKL. I think the standard rooms are just smaller than the deluxe room which is okay because I am going alone.I think what I have heard is that the CL standard rooms will be on the 4 th floor due to renovations. I did book 2 nights at rack rate for AKL CL for now but the the reason I joined AAA was for the discount.I also did book WL WV and had no trouble getting an AAA discount.

That's exactly what I had booked 2 standard concierge rooms for 6/22-6/24 with AAA rate.

Keep calling back more discounts will open up.

Does the new standard concierge level room have a savannah view or not? where are they?

I had no problem booking our AKL Standard CL room with an AAA room discount through CRO for March, 2007, but I did call as soon as the AAA rates were released. But for March, the room, even with the discount, is pretty expensive since it's peak season.
