AAA Discount During Xmas?

No discounts available for Christmas week.. of any kind.. Including AAA.

Christmas week is one of the busiest times of year. I've been there during Christmas week for the past 3 years in a row. I paid rack rate all 3 times. It's blacked out for just about every discount offered. I couldn't even use our DDE card most of the week and the restraunts raised their prices during that week as well. This was my last trip to WDW during Christmas week. I don't mind the crowds, but I don't like the price gouging they do during that time of year. They really take advantage of their customers during the holidays.

I am graduating from college just before Xmas (student teaching fall and winter) so we were going for my graduation (5 1/2 long years working full time and schooling and being a mom for 3)! BUT no discounts? AHHH...we have gone just about every time of the year except Easter and Xmas. Give me some details. It is good to know they dont use DDE either, maybe we will get the dining plan.

In 2006 we got a great AP rate for the week of X-mas at WL, last month unfortunately we paid rack rate for all 10 days since the AP rates were ridiculous during the weekend!
The restaurant prices were outrages! I have the DDE card and tried to make ressies before the 24th and after the 25th for any TS.

The crowds are insane, but if you take your time and go with the flow it's managable. I have never seen more people in one place as I have in the parks on NYE. If you choose to go that time of year, just be prepared to pay full price and more for everything. Don't expect to see everything, because the lines are very very very long. We were in MK at 2:00 am trying to take advantage of EMH and lines for the major rides were 45 minutes! You can imagine what they were during the day.
