AAA Discount - available when?

Hi all! Right now I have a room only rservation for next September (2005). There were no AAA discounts available when I booked. Do any of you know about how far out in advance the AAA rate becomes available? I'm hoping some sort of great package comes out next year for the time I'm going or even some AP rates (unlikely for September) but in the event nothing better comes along I would at least like to have the AAA rate. My ressie is for POR. Thanks!

I was going to ask the same question, only I am going in May 2005. Anyone know when I should expect AAA rates to come out?

I asked the same question last week and the only response I got was "AAA is not usually the best discount". After years of waiting for any and all available discounts I know that to be very true. I just know that I start out with the AAA rates and then I change when something better comes out closer to our trip. Our trip isn't until June 2005 but I would love to have at least the AAA rates for now!!! I guess they are due out any time and we will surely know when they are released because of all the wonderful people here on the Boards. I for one couldn't have gotten all the discounts each year without those people. Any one have any info on the 2005 AAA rates??

There's another thread on this board about this. Apparently, the AAA rates for the following year are usually released in late June or early July. I would expect them to be out by the end of the month. They seem to be running behind this year.

I'm still waiting for them for an AKL Concierge stay in January. Whenever I call, they say, "Call back soon."

I am waiting too. We are going March, 2005. I got a little excited last week when my AAA agent said she had an AS Sports rate of $77. I thought about it overnight and called her back to book and she said that WDW said that was a mistake and that the AAA rates were not out yet. The package rates are out but not the room only discounts.

I got my 2004 AAA discount at the end of July 2003. They had just been released at that time. So, look for them in the next couple of weeks. I got mine at WL and it was about 11%--no it's not the best, but it saved me nearly $400.

There will be AP rates in May 2005. I used that this year and last.

Sept. will have AAA rates. They will be 20% off. I used that last year as there were no AP rates for Sept. 2003.

I booked Saturday for Sept. 18-25 2004. Again using AAA. If AP comes out I will rebook.

You should be able to book your room for 2005 (room only) pay the nights deposit and then when AAA or AP rates come out apply them to your resie. If they won't do that then book the room again and cancel the old resie.

Book the new b4 you cancel the old or you may find no room at the inn.
