AAA discount 15% or 20% during value season

I read on mousesavers that AAA discount during value times (late Aug for me) is 20% instead of the 15% that is during regular season.

Is this your experience?

also would you try for DDH code or AAA rate - what would be better?

I'm not an expert on the other stuff, but I thought I'd share that we just booked a stay for the value season at 20% through AAA. We are going in mid-december - Dec 10th - 18th and staying at Caribbean beach, but the price was the same for all the moderates - 20% off.

I'm not sure that you can use disney's code through AAA. Most likely you cannot combine discount codes.

So, if your disney code is better than AAA you may have to cancel and rebook through disney.

There was a similar question to this on another board (I can't remember exactly where I saw it) but the people said they asked their AAA agent to call disney with the new code just released for August and they got extra money off. What they probably did was just gave the disney discount tothe room portion of the AAA reservation. (not both aaa and disney discount) So if it will save you money see what your AAA agent can come up with. The codes are available on here somewhere and on mousesavers.com. Good luck!

The amount of the AAA depends on what resort you stay at. If you are in a deluxe, then it will only be 15% otherwise it's 20%.

Yes, the Mousesavers info on AAA room only discounts is correct, at least for the deluxe resorts. I just called Disney and spoke to a CRO. They gave me a room only quote for Poly during value season and it came out to 15% less than rack rate.

It's helpful to calculate the amount you can save and then decide if the AAA membership is worth it.

As a previous poster said, Deluxes are 15% off during Value season, the Mods & Values are 20% off.

I just changed my AAA room only reservation at the AKL to the new public code, because it was cheaper than the AAA rate. I booked directly through Disney and had no problems making the change.

I think the public code for Mods is about $10 less per night than AAA, but it may be better to stick with AAA at the values. Someone else may have a better idea.

You don't have to book through a AAA travel agent to get a AAA discount. I called Disney directly and received a 20% discount at POP in December. All you have to do is ask if there are AAA discounts available for your resort and dates.

Regular season AAA discounts are 10% off deluxes and 15% off of values and mods.

AAA discounts go fast and are limited, so book early.

What's a "public code" & how do I get one? I'm staying 1 night at Pop Century 5/1/09.

2009 rates have not been released, as soon as rates are released AAA discounts will be available.

As for other codes and rates, when they are released they are posted here and on mousesavers. Also if you subscribe to TGM he also posts codes, but I find that DIS boards and mousavers are more prompt than he is.
