AAA Difficulties

I have already booked my reservation through Disney. I forgot about the AAA discount. I called Disney to have them apply the AAA discount. They said they could not do it unless I called AAA and them take over the account. Is that right?

Room/site only or package?

When I use AAA, I always call and ask for a supervisor. I explain to them that I had a problem in the past and I would like his/her recommendation of who to use for the specific destination I am going to. I have always had good luck and have found and agent I now like and have used for my past 4 trips....I think she gets me and even though she doesn't always have the answer to all my questions ( how could she know everything ), she is great about finding the information and getting back to me.

I think that is correct, but you will also get some extra items if it's a package. We got entrance to a firework viewing area for AAA members only, we also got a Storytelling Experience, but I think they said that was included because we had a dining plan...but was for aaa only.

Our first trip to the Fort was booked through AAA. During our stay, we decided to stay an extra night if we could keep the site. Went to front desk and they could not help us at all. Because the reservation had been made through AAA, we had to contact AAA for them to inquire about the extra night. Very confusing, to say the least. Every since then, we have booked our reservations directly with WDW. Sometimes they will tell you that there is no available AAA discount during the stay, and sometimes they will give you the discount. WE think there's a limited number of discounts available and when they're used up, then the answer is no. But I've had more than one person tell me to go ahead and make the reservation, and then continue to call back and inquire about the discount.:coffee: On a further thought, that first time that was booked thru AAA, they sent us a few goodies with our packet (luggage tags, couple of coupons for different stuff, etc)
