Is it worth buying my tickets through AAA just to get the parking pass?

We had the pass a few times and I never thought it was that great. I'm not sure about the other parks, but at MK they have a section near the front on the right where they have the handicapped parking, that's where the AAA parking area is. Once you park you have to walk to the main road and then down under the overpass that the trams use and come around to the entrance. I thought it was a pretty long hike, especially after a long day in the parks. I felt like taking the tram to the main entrance was better.

The AAA spots are right near the HC spots at each of the parks. It did seem like a hike, but for us it was good not to have to wait for the tram at the end of the day. We found the Epcot spots to be the most convenient to the entrance, they are close to the kennel. At MGM & AK they're just behind the HC spots.

I would use it again but I don't think I'd go out of my way to get the pass. If the AAA package price is good, I'd say to for it, but don't buy it JUST to get the Diamond Parking Pass.

I agree that the best parking with the Diamond pass is at EPCOT, where you don't have to wait for the tram. It is true, however, that they may close the Diamond spaces for a day or weekend, if they're having an event or something--so you can't always depend on being able to park there.

My AAA office is not giving out Diamond parking passes anymore for ticket purchases (only packages). It's a real bummer, with strollers and the like we really liked the parking. Since we are buying 15 5 day passes, AAA is still a good price but the AAA parking passes is why we kept our membership. I still don't understand why if one is staying on property the Diamond parking pass is an advantage, with Disney transportation. oh well....tram it is.
