AAA Booking Credit

Does anyone know what you get for booking your DCL cruise through AAA? A few years ago it was a photo package. Thanks!

I'm not sure you get anything from AAA anymore...

You get squat. Well, I take that back. If you point out to your TA, who likely knows nothing about DCL, that you could have gotten a nice OBC from an online agency as well as useful information, then they might give you a "surprise gift" of $25.

Our experience last year was that our TA was totally unhelpful and knew nothing about the actual cruise line.

AAA was a waste of time for us. I knew more about the DCL and they weren't willing to give us anything to book through them, but tried to convince us that the services they provided would be worth it.

We have booked all of our DCL cruises with out TA at AAA. But she isn't there anymore. Honestly, she was worth her eight in Gold. 2 days before we were to leave on a cruise my dad had a heart attack and ended up having double by pass surgery. I was on a flight to FL (from NH) to be with my mom while I was contacting AAA and they contacted DCL and got out cruise moved with no penalties. So, she was worth her weight on gold.

When we went in 2013, we had some AAA perks. But when we tried to book the next cruise it was revealed that AAA was no longer a DCL partner. Fine with me cuz as nice as my agent is...I knew soooooo much more about DCL than she did. Don't book anymore with them.

Although you don't get anything with AAA (CAA for us) anymore, we still book through them as our TA there knows a lot about Disney (WDW, DL, DCL, Aulani, etc.) and handles everything for us from booking DCL, transfers, hotels, extra tours (in Europe), flights (unless we're using points), and insurance. She also reminds me of dates such as PIF, booking windows, etc. If there's any issues or questions, we just call her. While an OBC would be nice, handling all of my booking details (I just leave with her what I want and she sends us the info later) and knowing that she and the agency have my back if I have problems is worth more to me. And the office is just a few minutes away from us.
