AAA agent isn't in until Thursday p.m...WWYD?

Would you just call Disney directly at 7 a.m, and then cancel AAA reservations? Or can Disney change my reservation if I call, and not the AAA agent?? I don't really want to leave it up to a TA, when I can just call myself and have it done.

I would call Disney direct and make sure I've got something on hold. If AAA can match that, then great. If not, I'd cancel the res.

You can't call yourself on a reservation made by a travel agent
That is why I use a Disney specialist TA, and not AAA, because even if she is off she is up early working on getting discounts applied when they become available. I have used her now for 3 years and love her I never have to worry if she is on the phone early

Honestly, I would call and book yourself and then call your AAA agent and cancel that one. I personally don't like having someone else in control of my reservation especially when they can't get any better of a deal than I can!

With Disney discounts the rates are the same for everyone it just depends on how dependable your travel agent is and how pro-active they are with continually looking for discounts. The only exception is to book packages with dining through AAA and get a discount on the room portion because they are the only ones that can do that when no other discount is available, but when a general discount becomes available the price is the same for everyone

Yeah, I know. That's what I was referring to in this case. The AAA agent can't get a better deal on free dining than the OP could. I have used AAA in the past for AAA packages duing times when Disney didn't have promos running. My so-called AAA Disney specialist called Tokelau at the POLY "Pokemon" so her skills as a Disney specialist were certainly in question but she was able to save me $600 over Disney's rates so she got to keep the reservation.

Just make sure your AAA office doesn't charge a cancellation fee, some do

Can't you call your AAA agent today and tell her to change your reservation tomorrow morning?
There are most likely AAA specific rooms that can be booked for this offer too---and most people will be calling to get the code on their own. I'd think you'd have a better chance with AAA--just as long as you call them today and tell them to change it for you tomorrow.
That's what I did last Saturday--I called my AAA agent--warned her about the Visa code---and she called me first thing Monday morning. (with bad news that I was unable to change it because of the dates), but still she was right on top of it.
