Hi,
Well I can't seem to get an answer out of AAA so I will try here.

What sort of discounts do you get at Disneyland with AAA?

Also what about Disney Visa?
I have a Disney Visa but it is....well....maxed out. Do you have to charge on the Disney Visa in order to get the discount or just show you have one?

I have had CMs that let me get the discount w/o using the Visa, and others that said I had to use the Visa. I think it depends on the CM.

Hi,

We booked our package through AAA and our rep was very helpful. What we are getting is:
- Free parking at the DLR
- Character phone call from Crush
- Priority seating at certain shows : "Aladdin a musical spectacular, Muppet Vision 3D, It's tough to be a Bug, Animation Academy."
- Special showing of Turtle Talk with Crush
- Magic Morning admission (comes with any 3+ day hopper pass)
- Mickey's ToonTown Morning Madness admission
- Lanyard & Pin
- Diamond Savings card (for discounts at food & shopping)

I think that is everything.

My understanding is there is nothing written that states you must use the visa to purchase but that some CM will tell you that. I would try to talk to a manager because I think you should just have to show it.

IF you purchase your parkhoppers thru AAA you get free parking at DLR. Unfortunately, this year they do not have the 3 for 5 promotional tickets, bummer!
Also, if you book hotel only thru the disney reservations phone number, you will get 10% off your room rate. AAA cannot give the discount,it must be made thru DIsney. I saved a lot of money on my room at the DLH last year with AAA. Good luck to ya!

I booked the 3 for five through disnry a while but was unaware they gave AAA discounts for that....darn.

Just an FYI, we were at Ariel's Grotto on 5/11 and I asked about the AAA discount. The server said they do not give the AAA discount anymore because they give a discount to the AP holders. Everywhere we ordered food we were asked if we were AP holders, maybe that is the new discount they are pushing.

The Disneyland Resort has offered Annual Passholder discounts for quite some time. With the sheer number of Annual Passholders who visit the Resort on a daily basis, it's just easier to ask everyone if they are Annual Passholders.

As to Ariel's Grotto, they do still offer a 10% AAA Discount on Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages, as does Cove Bar. Please ask to speak with a Manager if you have issues with this on a future visit.

The free character picture is with the Disney Visa Card. Here is what the fine print says about it:

Character Meet 'N' Greet Event is offered once daily at a selected time at Disney's California Adventure® Park. Separate Theme Park admission required. Must present a valid Disney Rewards Visa Card for entry for up to 6 people per card. Operating times, days of week, locations and appearance of Characters may vary and are subject to change without notice. Subject to availability and location capacity. Offer includes one complimentary 5 x 7 photo per valid cardmember account.

Thanks for that info! I was trying to find it earlier...is it on the Disney Chase website?
