I just booked a moderate (Coronado Springs) for a February 2006 vacation and was able to use my AAA discount. Per night is $148 vs. $175. :Pinkbounc

It cost me $35 to join in Central PA, that is just for myself. I beleive yourself and an associate card is $45. However, pricing may be different in all areas. I firmly believe in AAA. I have broken down a few times and have never worried about being stranded. They even will give you free gas if you run out!

Thanks for the info. So I just have to join up myself, not everyone else in my family?

The cost to join does depend on where you live. Visit www.aaa.com for more information for your area.

You can join just for you or you can get memberships for other family members. In our house, both my husband and I now have memberships.

How do you get that info? When I go to AAA they link me to non Disney resorts. I know I'm doing something wrong.

Are you just trying to get the rate? It's 10% off rack rate. We were able to get the AAA discount on a 10/06 WL Concierge reservation earlier this week. :)

Hi MaryPopFan! I just joined AAA 3 days ago to take advantage of their WDW discounts - it cost me $45 to join in NY (I couldn't have gotten an "Associate" membership for my husband for $20, but declined for now) We are staying at Poly GV in Dec. 05 and got a rate of $258 vs. $300 rack and need 2 rooms. So for a $45 investment for something I will probably use for more than WDW, we saved $336! You can book the AAA rates, room only directly through Disney reservations. If you would like a Magic Your Way package, you must go through AAA travel services. I used the travel service and so far my experience has been excellent!

Do they ask for the AAA number when taking payment? I went through the process of booking but didn't get any request for AAA/AP at Disney. Thanks everyone!

The AAA rate won't show up on the website. You need to call them to ask what the rate is for your time period. For our trip, the savings is 20% off the rack rate because it is value season.

One important thing to keep in mind is that you are not always going to get a discounted rate through AAA. There are only a certain number of rooms at each resort which are blocked off for the reduced rates. If all the AAA rooms are sold out for your time period, you will not see a discounted rate even if you book through AAA.

AAA Midatlantic doesn't have online booking or rates for the disney resorts. I think some of the other AAA regions do. hope that helps you feel better. :)

Ok, I just joined and I called and booked 2 rooms at POFQ for Feb.25 - Mar 5. Are there discounts for the tickets also? I saved like $200. :Pinkbounc Thanks so much for the info. Are there any other discounts at Disney to know about ?

I just called Disney to get Dec 3-9 at Riverside. No luck. Any chance I could find a room through AAA? If so I would join! Looking for advice from members.

Thanks!

They only have discounts on certain tickets - base tickets and 5 day park hoppers (I think?) last time I checked. Call your AAA TA again and ask if they have any ticket discounts as it may differ state to state. Hope you have a great trip!

Yup, we had to give our AAA number when we made our reservation/deposit.

They didn't ask me for my number, all they said was that I needed to show the card when I checked in at the resort.

Isn't the AAA rate for value resorts 15% off rack rates during reg. season? And am I able to give them my AAA # online if I plan to make the reservation online or how would I do that??? TIA!
