Chicago airfare prices!!

We are going on the 7 d Western cruise in Feb 2007. Had some mileage points through our credit card that we redeemed last week for 3 of our 5 airfare (r/t from chicago to orlando). It required major airlines (excluded SWA, TransAir, etc). After booking the first 3, the airfare went up over $300 r/t--first 3 were valued at $203--decided to hold out for some fare saver specials. Looks like I made a huge mistake!!!
Now I am driving myself crazy...I check multiple times/day for the exact flights and they are anywhere from 516 to 721 r/t for the exact flights. I called AA and they told me this is the start of Spring Break and they said that these fares probably would not go down! WHo would pay this for economy class?
Of course I could book today on SOuthwest for 225 r/t each person!! But we already have 3 of 5 booked on AA--of course nonrefundable!!!! EEEK!!!
Should I wait it out? nAy professional airfare watchers out there???
