A Wrinkle in Time

Has anyone seen the movie? Is it a bit too corny or weird?

I didn't see it, and I was a big fan of the book as a kid. It just doesn't look that good but I'll probably check it out when it's on DVD or streaming. The book is very weird anyway, though it doesn't look like they stuck too closely to it. Also, I don't think that Ava DuVernay was the right choice for such a special effects heavy production. A lot of the clips I've seen have some pretty lousy effects going on in them. It's a shame because I wanted it to be good.

The critics have not been kind and I don't think fans have been impressed either. However, I've not seen it.
