A WONDERful Texas Christmas 12/18/15

Hi, ya'll. We just booked this cruise Thursday while on the Fantasy for Thanksgiving. So excited to try a smaller ship (this will be our 3rd cruise) and closer to home! There will be 4 of us, DH, DD (17 @ sailing) and DS (12 @ sailing). Thanks!

While my family of four has visited Walt Disney World three times, this will be our first cruise (of any kind.) We are super excited and are trying to do as much research as early as possible. If there is a fish extender group, I would be super appreciative if someone could direct me to it. Looking forward to hearing from everyone in the next year!

Connie

This will be our second Disney cruise - DH, DD (11), DD (13), and myself. We will be traveling with another family. FE group started yet? Excited!!

We booked this cruise in June while on a 4 day Bahamian cruise. This will be our fifth Disney cruise and our second on the Wonder. We were on the 9 day Alaskan cruise May 2014. I am so glad we will be able to drive to the port instead of spending big bucks on airfare. Our party will consist of myself, DH, DD(adult, she probably wouldn't want me to share her age) and her son, Samuel (12). We are counting down the days!

Unfortunately, posts have been removed from a number of Cruise Meets threads including this one.

PLEASE review the Cruise Meet Policy regarding Cruise Meet and Fish Extender programs. - http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3353477

Links to Cruise Meet discussion/Fish Extenders other than those on the DIS may not be posted or offered by any other means (PM, email, "search" directions, etc.).

Cruise Meet threads are doing just fine still managing meet and FE discussions right here on the DIS as they have since FE began (also here on the DIS).

FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin with child ages for age appropriate gift giving. Other information you would like to share such as names, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. Those organizing FEs typically ask for the information to be posted in the meet thread or sent to them via PM.

For those posting in this Cruise Meet thread to join a FE, if no one comes forward to organize a FE for this cruise, anyone can organize the FE right in this thread.

Enjoy!

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

This will be our first cruise and we are ecstatic about going during the holidays
It will be myself and my DS (14):littleangel: We also have my friend and her DD (13) going as well.

Is there going to be a cut off list of how many participate? I'm already apart of one but wouldn't mind joining in on this depending on size

DIdn't see any take initiative for the FEs in this cruise so I thought we'd go ahead and set it up. If you're interested in participating, indicate your willingness to do so below (name, occupants in party, and cabin number) and I'll add you to the list.

I'd be happy to participate as well. Traveling with my three kids. Jshawn 11 , william 7 and Taleesa 6.

Please add us to the FE group. Although we have been on three Disney cruises, we have never participated in a fish extender group. Do I need to PM you or just give you our information in a post? Thanks for volunteering to organize the group.

We are late to the party and paid way too much, but are so excited for our Christmas vacation on the Wonder with all of you :) I will be joined by my DH and our DD (will be 8) and DS (will be 2). Can I have more information on the FE program? Thanks :)

Sherrief, I added you to the list that I will compile with those interested in participating in the Fish Extender for our sail. Do you happen to know your cabin number(s)?

To anyone else interested, let me know the members of your family and your cabin number and I'll add you to the list. You can PM me if you want to send this information privately...I will disperse the list of information a couple of weeks before our sail.[/QUOTE

Would like to get in fish extender group!

I'm new to this forum. We are booked for the wonder on Dec 11-18. How do we join a fish extender group? I would love for our girls (4 & 6) to participate. Thanks!

Now that we disembarked from the Wonder for our Spring Break cruise, we are excited to start thinking of our next cruise in December! Look forward to connecting with folks and learning more about the FE groups. We are sailing with our DS (7) and DS (6).

Please sign me up for the FE group. Is there an organizer? We are four with dd 3 and DS 5 in 5514. Fourth cruise/ fourth FE!! Can't wait!

For those posting in this Cruise Meet thread to join a FE, since no one has posted recently about a FE for this cruise here on the DIS, please feel free to start the FE right now in this thread.

There is certainly plenty of time to plan a FE for this cruise. All it takes is for someone to maintain a list of/for those participating which can easily be done in this thread. Cruise Meet threads have been doing it this way for years now here on the DIS. If anyone is interested in doing this, feel free to contact me for some suggestions.

I love the Disboards - but I'm not a poweruser by any means...just devour them as trips approach...so I'm not well-versed in any potential backstory.

However, in my prior trips - someone steps forward to organize FE here - (and unfortunately, I know I don't have the time or organizational skill to do it well.) AND THEN - again in my prior trips - there's a Facebook site that tag teams with this thread to build excitement and keep in touch more easily....and helps cross with the many Disney-related FE groups on Facebook.

It looks like DIS doesn't want to encourage this fluidity between the thread and Facebook any longer? As a casual user, this seems odd to me...but I did find a Facebook group that seems to be organizing an FE exchange for this cruise.

I hope you don't delete my post just for clarifying my impression of the situation....might help others? I was initially confused - not with the concept of FE....but by the deleted posts and new guidelines...because it's different than my past experience here.

Just started checking out this board -- but we've been booked since the first day the cruise was available! This will be our 5th DCL cruise (we just got back from 7 AMAZING days on the Fantasy), and we've hit all 4 ships. There are just 3 of us -- so we'll be joining someone's table at dinner, I'm sure. It is my DH and my DD, who will be 9 at the time of sailing. If anyone else has a 9(ish) year-old-girl looking for a new friend, I'd love to start a conversation! Since she has no siblings, and can be a little shy, it would be so much more fun for her to "know" a new friend or two on board before we sail. On our last cruise, she made her best new friend on the last full day of the trip (go figure!).

I would like to join the Fish Extenders for our Pre Christmas Cruise. We will be in stateroom 8538. There are five of us in our cabin. Me, DH, DMIL, DD 10, DD 8. I am new to this so could use some pointers. About how many extenders are on a cruise? Do you do extenders every day?
