A WISH for Cold Tea? Ana's aMAWzing Disney Trip! 12/1-12/7 ~Last Entry~ p.127

oooohhh, another update!! MVMCP looks like fun! You really did get great pics of the castle/fireworks! Jealous!!!! ;)

And 475 pics on your PhotoPass?? NICE!! :thumbsup2

As for Wicked:
I will... and will ask you the same question. Is it a good show for a 4-5 year old? Or is it too intense?

I would say too intense for a 4-5 year old. It's pretty complicated (the backstory of the chacters from Wizard of Oz, like a pre-story), somewhat dark and has mostly adult themes. It might just go over her head because of all there is to listen to and look at, but I would hesitate bring Drew and he's 7. Too much to explain. Though, I have the soundtrack and we all listen to it together in the car and my kids often request it! There are some funny parts for sure, lots of good music, and a pretty princess (Glinda the good witch) so I'm teetering, but I have to say no. At least it's an excuse for the two of you to go preview it alone and then go again with Ana after you approve it!!!

WOW! WOW! WOW! Your castles are simply amazing! Like someone else already said, they really are postcard perfect!

Great that some of the rides were walk-on! And I guess I would have been happy they turned off the spitting camel too. Being cold is one thing, but wet and cold it awful!

I'm betting you and Mel just walked soaking in the Christmassy atmosphere and enjoyed yourselves- perhaps a little shopping??

Love it!! The castle and firework pictures are amazing!!!
Thank you! I like your new signature! Did you make that yourself?

Beautiful pictures. It looks like you had a truly magical night.
Thanks Tina! It was a great night so far.... I hope it will continue... :rolleyes1

How fun! Jasmine must've been freezing! Poor reading on my part, though. I though you had written "my angel" so I kept scrolling for a pic of Juliana, and got so confused when I didn't see one. Then I realized my mistake. Doh! If I could do it all over again, is make sure to see the fireworks. Your nighttime pictures are great!
It really wasn't to cold up to this point. I had just put on my sweatshirt but I'm sure for Jasmine it was a little nippy.

The fireworks at MK are my favorite part of the trip. The Christmas one's were good, but the regular one's, to me, are better. ::yes:: ;)

:cool1:

Aw. I can't beleive she fell asleep. I hope you guys still strolled around and took it in for awhile. I hope we don't have to wait too long to find out. :rotfl:
I thought after an early bedtime the night before, Juliana would have been able to hang for a while. I guess we thought wrong. :sad2:

I have my next update ready..errrr... kinda. :surfweb:

Awesome update Tim!:thumbsup2 Loved all the pics, this is one especially sweet and I know I've said it before but your girls are so pretty:
DSC00558.jpg
Thank you!

Don't you just love It's a Small World? We really do, it's one of our favorite old school rides, along with the Carousel of Progress. How cool to have your own boat! I'd feel like a celebrity or something, they must've known Ana was coming!:cutie:
I know there are quite a few people who dislike IASM but I love it. It just SCREAMS Disney to me. Plus that song it so catchy! :lmao:

I swear, some of your pics are better than the photopass ones! Are you a secret photographer? Your fireworks pics came out pretty darn good! I always end up with blurry ones but I have a new camera now and in 5 short days, I'll be taking my own pics! This one looks like a postcard:
DSC00632.jpg
Thanks.... I try. I only use my point & shoot but I am thinking about bringing my DSLR next time.... but then again, I really don't feel like lugging it around. I have a hard enough time with the one I already have.

Those light up Mickey necklaces are fabulous! I'm amazed that Marv did something cool like that:laughing:. Of course Kathy would, she's already cool like that.:thumbsup2 Seriously though, those are cool looking, did you wear yours too?
Of course I wore mine!!!! I loved those!

So sweet that Ana was fighting off sleep. That means she had a great time! When we drag ourselves back to the hotel room after a day at the parks, it takes all of 10 minutes for my girls to fall asleep! That's what it makes it so fun, right? It really looks like you all had such a great time at the party. The castle was stunning too!:goodvibes
Juliana passed out so quickly... she was shot but she had to watch to the end of the fireworks. :lmao:

Just think... a few more days till you can drag yourselves back to that hotel room! Where are you staying BTW?

WOW I asked for an update & one was posted within a few a minutes... NOT to bad...
Ask and you shall receive!!! LOL

The pictures are gorgeous.... Juliana was probably exhausted from all the excitement....
Thank you! I hope to have the final update from day 2 up tomorrow.

Great update!

I have to say, if I had light up Mickey heads, I would have felt totally special too!
They were really cool. They were Mickey shaped, had a light shining into them, and said Happy Holidays. I might have to break them out again and just wear one around the house! :rotfl:

Nice shot of Tink, and that last fireworks picture over the castle is simply outstanding!
Thanks Glen. I think the pics I got later on of Wishes were better because I wasn't holding Juliana.

It's okay that you didn't get a lot of pictures of the parade -- sometimes it's better to be "in the moment". :)
I agree.... although I took many pictures of the parade that I am too embarrassed to post here. They really came out horrible. :sad2:

::yes::Truce it is, did you seem the nice comments I made on your update??:goodvibes
Yes I saw them. They were very... ummmm... NICE!

Oh, if only it would stay 83! But it's better than where we are too, it was 7 last night. And it's that cold that makes your bones go brrrrr! You know, when you shiver so much that it gives you a headache.
The weather in FL has been up and down, but it is better to be up and down than just down like it was last year.

What a magical night. I bet Ana zonked out with a big smile on her face.:lovestruc
We were having a great time. The parade & fireworks take such a big chunk out of the night.... but you have to see them right? :confused3

Aren't those things cool? There was a "ghost Mickey" in our package from Karin and Tom and I love it!
We loved them and could believe how many people asked us about them. Thanks again.:grouphug:

First, I can't believe that I am actually awake for an update!!!!!!!!!! And I was going to go to bed too (sore throat; Andy has been sick for a week and I think he has shared with me and my BMF has pneumonia).
Glad you were awake to see one for once! LOLOL

Geez, I hope you (and Andy) are feeling better soon!

Oh, I'm pretty sure it is the latter!
It might of been.... but it has been so long since our trip I wasn't sure.... :rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Great photos of the castle. I just want to sit here and cry because it is so beautiful. Poor Princess Ana....she was a pooped out princess.
I can stand and watch the castle change colors and watch Wishes over and over and over and never get tired of it.:goodvibes

Great update Tim! The pics of the castle were worth the wait on that one. Molly took the words out of my mouth about the pics being postcard worthy.
Thank you!

As for having everything planned - I keep telling Andre that I need to find some sort of business that is wedding related. I lurk the weddings board a lot and gosh it's amazing how much business Disney is getting for the weddings.
Event planning? I think you can have a pretty lucrative business doing that- if you have the right contacts.

love all the pictures....boy, to get a boat all to yourselves must of been fun!!!
It was a little strange but don't worry, we bashed into a boat filled to the gills near the end. :lmao:

castle lights and fireworks, can't get much better than that :lovestruc
Well said! :thumbsup2

What's making it worse is that I am a serious over packer and now with the weird weather forecasts, I feel like I'm packing for 2 separate trips!
this is how we packed for Dec... the temps were all over. popcorn::

oooohhh, another update!! MVMCP looks like fun! You really did get great pics of the castle/fireworks! Jealous!!!! ;)
We really had a great time that night. I wish Juliana stayed awake a little longer.

We were busy. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Thanks for the input. Juliana loved the Wizard of OZ (we saw a performance of it this weekend) and we (Mel & I) have always wanted to see Wicked.

A few years back my brother's roommate from college was in the broadway production of Wicked. He also was in The Princess and the Frog. He did the dances for Dr. Facilier.

WOW! WOW! WOW! Your castles are simply amazing! Like someone else already said, they really are postcard perfect!
Thanks!!!!!

Great that some of the rides were walk-on! And I guess I would have been happy they turned off the spitting camel too. Being cold is one thing, but wet and cold it awful!
After how busy MNSSHP last October, it was nice that it wasn't crazy there. I thought the crowd level was perfect.

Wet & cold is no fun. :sad2:

I'm betting you and Mel just walked soaking in the Christmassy atmosphere and enjoyed yourselves- perhaps a little shopping??
Hummmm..... we'll see. popcorn::popcorn::

Nothing better than waking up to an update from you! :cool1:

MVMCP is so much fun and it looks like so far you really enjoyed it! Juliana looks so sweet in all the photos! The perfect little princess ....... and little princesses need a bit of beauty sleep too! ;) :goodvibes

Hope you stayed for a little longer! :thumbsup2

Thanks! I'm trying to get this TR moving! This is only day 2 with 5 more days to go.... :faint:

We had a lot of fun at the party... just wish Ana could have joined in the fun. If you think about it, we did have a longgggggg day.

Only 5 more days to report on and you are only back for what ...... a month? I am only at day 9 on mine and I still have 21 to go! :rotfl2: We came back in September and are leaving again in 25 days - oh the pressure! :lmao:

I think Juliana did quite well for everything she did and saw all day! It was a REALLY long day for her!

Thank you! I like your new signature! Did you make that yourself?

Thanks! Yes, I did make it... I used to make a lot of them on a mommies board that I belong to, but haven't had much time in the past couple years or so. I was a little disappointed because they have to be so darn short here!

We did the Pirate and Princess Party a few years ago and the main reason we did it was so we could do all of the rides with no wait! :cool1:

So cool about free hot cocoa and cookies all night!

Glad to see you kept your hands to yourself there, Tim. ;)

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Did I ever tell you about the time I had my picture taken with Jasmine? It's a long story.

Anyway, I'm really surprised to see how few people there are at this party! All reviews I've heard are, so crowded, etc, but you're getting right on rides, getting a whole boat to yourselves, that's pretty cool.

Looks like you had an awesome view of the fireworks. You know, I love the castle in general, but there is something so magical about those beautiful lights. :goodvibes

Sigh.:goodvibes I love that castle.:goodvibes

Ana looked super fabulous with her light up Mickey necklace!:cutie: I agree with Glenn, too. Sometimes it's good to just experience the parades without having to take pictures. I know, it sounds sacrilegious coming from a DIS board member.:upsidedow

I didn't even realize you were in the middle of a TR. I just knew about your PTR! :lmao:

I think Juliana did quite well for everything she did and saw all day! It was a REALLY long day for her!
She did.... I hope we didn't wipe her out on park day #1! popcorn::

I think that is why DIsney got rid of them... they were never busy. :confused3

So cool about free hot cocoa and cookies all night!
I found out that you can only eat so many sugar cookies though.. :rolleyes1

Glad to see you kept your hands to yourself there, Tim. ;)

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
I did my best... my wife was standing right next to me! :rotfl2:

Did I ever tell you about the time I had my picture taken with Jasmine? It's a long story.
No I don't think you have. Maybe it would make a good update on your PTR. popcorn::popcorn::

There were people there, don't get me wrong but nothing like the MNSSHP we went to. It was nice to walk through without a MOB of people.

Looks like you had an awesome view of the fireworks. You know, I love the castle in general, but there is something so magical about those beautiful lights. :goodvibes
I love the fireworks too. If I did nothing else in MK it would be watching Wishes.

Sigh.:goodvibes I love that castle.:goodvibes

Agreed!

I understand what you are saying... that is one reason why I don't take too many random pictures around the park... I try to just take it all in with my girls. :goodvibes

Sounds like the party was working in your favor for getting some quality ride time in without the lines. Hopefully Miss Juliana will catch her second wind to allow you to take advantage of a couple more hours. Although if she was falling asleep while things were blowing up around her...

She did fight her sleep to the very end. I will give her credit for that. Once the finale was over it was like she flipped a switch and was done. :rotfl:

I am sooo behind on my threads Tim !!I absolutely LOVED the castle pix they are gorgeous !!This August we will spend the girls birthday at MK and if neccessary I will take Kyle back to Pop so Judy and the girls can enjoy the Fireworks !!!! With Judy as the photographer there will be many!!:lmao:That girl is snap happy:rotfl2:

I would agree, it's hard to make designs on your favorite Disney character with your spouse standing right next to you.

Which is why, whenever I met Tarzan at MNSSHP, I left MJS with Nemo and took my mom instead. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

What type of point & shoot camera do you have Tim? The pics are awesome... our camera just broke so we are looking into buying a new one before our trip....

We got off the ride and there was a hot chocolate and sugar cookie stand right there. We figured we would stop and grab some. (If you didn't know, the hot chocolate and sugar cookies are free all night).

Did you save enough for the rest of us? :confused3

Juliana was having too much fun and Melody & I wanted to join in too.... or was it I just wanted to get next to Jasmine? I forget.....

Your pictures are nice, but for some reason they're not as memorable as Barry's. Can't quite place the reason... :rotfl2:

Gee, I can't imagine why nobody else wanted to be on that ride... :rolleyes1

I guess the only other thing I can say about this chapter is...

Your fireworks pictures are...

AWESOME!!!

I am always behind on my threads, that is why I don't follow more. I'd love to follow Glen's but I run out of time. I do lurk there from time to time though... :rolleyes1

Hi Glen! :wave2:

Sounds like a great evening planned! Too bad you won't get to see the fireworks though. :sad1:

I would agree, it's hard to make designs on your favorite Disney character with your spouse standing right next to you.
::yes:: I have to behave... Mel reads my reports. Although I haven't been able to get her to sign up yet.

Which is why, whenever I met Tarzan at MNSSHP, I left MJS with Nemo and took my mom instead. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
HAHA sounds like another good story for you PTR! :rotfl:

What type of point & shoot camera do you have Tim? The pics are awesome... our camera just broke so we are looking into buying a new one before our trip....
I have a Sony Cybershot H5. It is a little bigger than a normal point & shoot. It is in the 'Super Zoom' class. Just like all these point & shoots, sometimes there is shutter lag and recently it seems that the flash has been taking a little longer to recharge. I've had this camera for 3 or 4 years so I do like it.

Did you save enough for the rest of us? :confused3
You have should of seen the trays of cookies. I don't know why I didn't take a picture of them. :confused3:confused3

Your pictures are nice, but for some reason they're not as memorable as Barry's. Can't quite place the reason... :rotfl2:
I was going to recreate that picture but I didn't think it would of went over too well with Jasmine or my wife.:eek:

Gee, I can't imagine why nobody else wanted to be on that ride... :rolleyes1
I swear I took a shower in the morning and it wasn't too hot during the day. :confused3

I guess the only other thing I can say about this chapter is...

Your fireworks pictures are...

AWESOME!!!
Thank you! :worship:
