The fever is finally gone but she still has a cough. The doctor said she had croup so so was on steroids for 2 days. We kept her home from school today and she won't go tomorrow. We are expecting 12-24'' of snow here starting tonight.

When you are entering Epcot, walk to the right of Spaceship Earth (the big ball). There is a door at the bottom of SE that is an exit from SE and says Siemens Base21 on it. When you walk in the door on the left is another door that says Base 21 on it. It is neat to check out.... and take a little break.

Oh no! Your sweet girl is sick with the croup! My grandmother was the queen of treating croup, all of her kids (my mom included) had it often. She swears by hot shower steam and also cool night time air. Is she feeling better today I hope? Poor Juliana. I hope she recovers quickly Tim. Sounds like a good day for princess movies, coloring and My Little Ponies playtime! Hang in there.

OK.. maybe not that great but Juliana was enjoying our first ride of the trip. (This is one of my favorite pics of the trip)

No wonder you married Mel -- she's cute even when you're in big trouble.

We signed in and the greeter asked Juliana what her favorite color was. She answered 'Pink!' and with a touch of a button, she turned the floor to pink. Juliana stood in amazement, then had to go check it out.

Juliana went back and told the greeter a bunch of other colors. Each time the floor changed to that color... very cool!

This sounds awesome, and I love Juliana's response to it: request more colors! By the way, I'm glad to hear that she's doing better than she was a couple of days ago.

Henry is SO excited about the snow! I gotta get to the grocery store to make sure we have the essentials, the stores sell out so quickly when the trucks can't get to them after a big snow.

What a great morning, huh? You've hit some of my favorite parts of Epcot...including Beverly... And you know what, my son won't drink soda either, thinks it's absolutely gross. I'm riding that thought out for as long as it lasts, let me tell you!

What a great start to your trip so far! I am always amazed by GKTW and the more I learn the more impressed I get. I am so glad you didn't mind the Princess MAW shirt and am thrilled you guys wore the shirts on your first day!

CM's looked like lots of fun and Soarin' is always a good first stop. Love the private lounge and entrance! Perfect for a princess!

Now, if only I could get caught up on the ABC's TR! I miss everyone and all of the banter!

So THAT is what Melody looks like when she is not smiling! I was beginning to think she never NOT smiled! Very pretty lady you have there

I just love how you get a little tour before actually stepping foot in the park.

Oh yeah! Love the teaser! That is my favorite park!

We walked in and saw the soda machines. I tried a few which really weren't bad at all. Actually some tasted pretty good. I even snuck a little sip of the mother of all sodas: The Beverly! Before I tricked... I mean.. suggested to my wonderful wife to try the Beverly, I had to know for myself how bad it really was. It was bad but not horrible. Melody might of begged to differ.

Another satisfied Beverly customer!!

Poor Princess. I hope she is better soon. I'm sure she's not happy not being able to go play in the snow. It might be better just to keep her home all week. Give her hugs from us.

Joining in here - just did an abbreviated catch up. I followed all the links to the end, then read the comments and banter from there. Glad to hear Juliana is starting to feel better.

GKTW is such a fun looking place. An online scrapbooking group I belong to did up some scrapbook pages to donate. We all did up however many pages we wanted to, sent them to the organizer of our group. We also sent money to purchase scrapbooks. I think she loaded each book with several layouts. I forget how many books wound up being donated, but it was enough that the organizer's husband was very happy when the boxes of them were finally removed from his house.

Nice update! I love that you got access to a special lounge in the ball (didn't even know those existed), which is one of my all-time favorite rides. So cool that there's a special entrance, too! All that AND a pink floor!

Agreed! This goes on the list of things that are always funny, like inhaling helium, whoopie cushions, and inappropriate air horns.

I try not to get that look but sometimes it is unavoidable....

I love the look of the different villas at GKTW! Very Fantasyland-like. What an awesome place that is - I would love to volunteer there. Of course, I'd have to move to Florida first....

The villas were awesome. It is really neat when you look down the street and see all the different styles of villas.

My wife always throws out the idea of moving to Florida...

A rosemary Christmas tree - I bet it smelled amazing!

You know... I don't remember smelling it. You would think a tree of rosemary would smell pretty strong.

The backstage lounge at Spaceship Earth looked pretty cool. Fun VIP treatment

It was cool to see and the backdoor to SE was a added bonus!

I think may be the only one who does not think Mel is mad.
She just wasn't smiling or ready for Time to take that picture.

It might of just been a I am full from CM face.


PS I often get " Why are you mad?" when I am not. I guess I don't have a face that smiles unless I make it.

Great update (aside from the picture that Mel is gonna kill you over ) - that lounge is AWESOME! They made the floor PINK! Incredible. I bet Juliana was lovin' all that. And a VIP entrance to boot? Oh ya!

She didn't kill me over it. WHEW!

I guess I took the picture of the floor when it was purple. It doesn't look too pink when I was reading through tonight.

Sorry to hear you are running behind schedule, I hope none of you felt rushed and just enjoyed what you could do! Chef Mickey's breakfast looked yummy. We have that booked for our trip, we've done dinner (terrible food, GREAT otherwise) - I'm hoping for a good meal! I'll keep it in mind about the breakfast potatoes.

You know, I always feel like we are behind schedule in Disney. I wish you can add like 2-3 hours in the day to fit everything in.

Brook, you HAVE to try those potatoes (if they are still there) so I can get someone else's take on them.
