A Happy Belated New Year to you Tim!!

Now that the year is new, any NEW updates around the corner??:rolleyes1

A little late, but HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! hope it started out great!!

Hey everybody!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years. We have been very busy here with work, family, and friends. It seems like we are getting back into our normal routine and I do hope to respond to all of your comments soon. I have not forgotten about this TR and I will have an update soon. I PROMISE!!!!! :lmao::lmao:

No thanks!!!! We have plenty of tiny little figurines kicking around... I really don't want to add Poly Pockets to that list! :lmao::lmao:

I have never heard of squinkies. I'll have to google them.

I can't see that ending well.... wrap those gifts! :rotfl2:

I taped her dancing to the Jackson 5- I want you back. Once I get it on my computer, I'll post it here! :goodvibes

I bought... ummm I mean... Santa bought us 4 Wii games- Just Dance2, Toy Story Mania, Disney Sing it, and Epic Mickey. (You think Santa knows we are a Disney family?) I started playing epic Mickey 2 days ago and it is VERY addicting. It feels like you are exploring WDW and seeing all the classic cartoons make it very cool! I just did some missions in 'Toontown' and on 'Main St.' and I cannot stop playing it.:goodvibes:surfweb:

I am constantly tripping over tiny figurines around here.:sad2: Squinkies are these squishy little things you can put on top of your pencil. And let's see, each of my girls got 30 so that means there are 90 of these things circulating around my house! It's madness I tell you, madness!

Ya, I'm still going to have to wrap gifts, I know. But imagine the great home movie that it would make if it was a free for all?

How cute that Juliana has been dancing to the Wii:goodvibes! I'm sure she's adorable! My girls did the cha-cha slide for all of my family at Christmas and it was hilarious! I jumped in to join them too, it was so much fun! Everyone was laughing and then my dad taped it!

Well, DH bought us Epic Mickey the other day! And he bought himself Call of Duty Black Ops and Goldeneye. We're going to play Epic Mickey tonight, I'm so excited! The opening scene was pretty cool and it looks like a blast.:thumbsup2

Thursday morning came with 2 alarms going off at 7:15am. It would of been very easy to just shut off the alarms, roll over, and go back to sleep.... but you really didn't think we did that. Do ya?

Our itinerary for the day included breakfast at Chef Mickey's, Epcot, and MVMCP. I wanted to be out of the house by 8am for our 9:10 ADR. That would give us enough time to park at the TTA and take the monorail over to the Contemporary.

We usually try to have our park bags packed the night before but we were just so beat from traveling that we didn't have anything ready. As we are packing 3 separate park bags, Juliana is asking us to go to the playground and she wasn't taking no for an answer. Once we were mostly packed I brought her to the playground for a few minutes.

We finally got on the road at 8:35- a little later than I would have liked. GKTW is only about 10 miles from Disney, but it takes a solid 25 minutes. Before we knew it we were seeing this.

I'm not sure if there is any sign in Disney that is more exciting than this.... especially when arriving for the first time.

My plan of parking at the TTA had to be changed since we were pulling under this at 8:57am.

We pulled up to the Contemporary, parked, and hurried our way inside.

Huge wreath.

I guess the girls didn't want to wait for me while I was taking a picture of the wreath. LOL

We couldn't wait for the elevator, so on to the escalator. Before we knew it we saw this:

We checked in at 9:10!!!!! We were on time.. somehow!

We got our picture taken with the infamous Mickey plate, then it was off to our table.

We were seated and it was going to be a little while before any characters showed up so we grabbed round one of breakfast.

Juliana's plate.

My plate.

You know... Melody still makes fun of me taking pictures of my food. I tell her it is very important to get these pictures. She knows it is for my DIS friends.

My girls.

It wasn't long before we started to get a few visitors. Donald was the first one to stop by.

DSC00445.jpg

We asked our professional photographer, Juliana, to take our picture with Donald.

DSC00446.jpg

A little blurry, but not too bad!

Soon after seeing Donald, it was time to 'Put your napkin in the air, and wave it like you just don't care!

DSC00447.jpg

Donald even came back and did a little dancing with Ana.

DSC00448.jpg

The characters starting coming quickly now...

DSC00450.jpg

I thought it was cool to have the Mickey 'Make a Wish' bubble behind us.

DSC00451.jpg

One of our favorites- Pluto!

Minnie.

Then we got to see the mouse himself... Mickey!

DSC00458.jpg

We had a great breakfast. The waffles were great, the eggs were great, come to think of it everything was great..... except for the potatoes with some kind of turkey sausage in them. Those I could of done without. Oh well, you live and learn!

We payed our waitress and she suggested we grab a piece of fruit for the road. Juliana took a banana to go.

1 more picture before we left CMs.

DSC00461.jpg

We went to check out the gift shop and it was really hard to walk out of there with only a few souvenirs- all the Christmas shirts, hats, dolls, ornaments were calling Melody's name (ok, and my name too!)

We left without spending too much money and got to see the awesome gingerbread house and gingerbread Christmas tree. I'm sure all the DIS DADs will love this theme!!!!

Man, that's a lot of ingredients!

We were already behind schedule, so we said good-bye to the Contemporary and headed over to the MK parking lot. We were going to take the monorail from the TTA since we would be coming back to MK that evening for MVMCP.

Up next... Epcot, bathrooms, a first, and a few firsts!!!!!

I'm getting caught up Tim. The spa day looked like a nice time for your ladies.
Hey Glen!

The spa was perfect for Juliana!

That does sound like madness. Thank goodness there are none of those in our house... yet!

You probably aren't on here because you are still playing Epic Mickey!:lmao::lmao:

I love Epic Mickey.... great game!

Did your wife make the matching shirts? Nice Job!:thumbsup2
Actually they were given to us by a DISer named Loodlow. We were chosen to be part of the 'Big Give' here on the DIS. We received many wonderful gifts that you will see throughout this report. :goodvibes

Maroo said:
The Big Give was inspired by Oprah's Big Give (the TV show). It is a group of ladies and men on the DISboards that make custom clothes for families that need some pixie dust. It started with an active DISer that lost a son in a drunk driving accident only days after returning from Disney World. When it was time for their family to go back to Disney, the DISboutiquers made the family clothes to help make their trip extra special.

This first Give went so well, that they have continued the tradition. Now they mainly select Wish Families.

The Big Give is not in any way affiliated with MAW, Disney, GKTW or even officially by the DISboards. It is just a group of very kind ladies and men that just want to bless families that they come to know on the DIS. It is a completely volunteer thing.

The organizers try to include every single MAW family that they "meet" and get to know on the DIS.

love pic from CM - Ana took a pretty good one too!

this will be the first trip we won't be going to CM, need to branch out and try new places since Megan is getting older and wanting to try new foods

The my little pony spa is such a neat idea......it's amazing everything they've come up with for the kids to do at the village.

Breakfast at Chef Mickey's looks awesome...I love the matching shirts:goodvibes
