A WISH for Cold Tea? Ana's aMAWzing Disney Trip! 12/1-12/7 ~Last Entry~ p.127

WOW!!!! That is a lot of snow!:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: I absolutely love the picture of your queen and little princess trying to walk through the snow. I bet you all had a blast playing in the snow and building your igloo.

Great snow pics! Love the igloo and Juliana trying to walk through that snow!

Fun update. Love the color changing floor! All that snow :scared1: Glad Ana is feeling better!!
Thanks Mary. The floor was really cool. Juliana kept asking for different colors! They are calling for 2 more inches on Saturday with another big storm for next Tues-Wed. The next one might be more interesting though.

:eek:Your shrub looks like a chocolate cupcake with white frosting! Wow, I remember winters like that when I was still living up in New England as a girl. What fun for Juliana though! And Mel too!:goodvibes No wonder your back hurts, mine hurts just looking at those drifts! You guys did a nice job on that igloo too!:thumbsup2
LOL My chocolate cupcake looks the same today! Not much melted here. It is going to get really cold the next few days..

My back was sore all day. We did go sledding at a school with a huge hill. Maybe I'll post a video or two of Juliana sledding. :goodvibes

That is a he** Of a lot of snow. I can't remember the last time we had that much. No wonder your back is killing you...having to shovel that. I love the pictures of the girls in the snow; glad Ana is feeling better and able to go and enjoy the snow.

Thanks for the suggestion on my PTR about things to do at AKL.
You should of seen it around here today. People were still shoveling out. LOL

Check back later... I might have a video of Juliana sledding. She was having a blast!
No problem.... I don't know much about AKL. Time to take a peek at the AKL thread! :goodvibes

Hey Tim! Im finally getting caught up on your TR! I loved the pictures from chef mickey's. You're right..it was neat that you guys were by the 'Make a Wishy Mickey decoration. Also, your pic of the girls walking into the Contemporary lobby made me sad! I can just picture myself there right now.
What's up? Hope you had a good holiday!

I wish I was at the CR now too... especially after all the snow we got!

you made an IGLOO! That is so cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks!!! We didn't spend too much time in it because a few times it sounded like the ceiling was going to come down on us. :scared1:

The snow looks so pretty!!! Thanks for sharing them. I love the pics of Mel and Ana. Ana looks like she is ready to go skiing, she's so cute. Good job on the igloo. :thumbsup2 It looks like you guys are going to be snowed in for a bit, oh well you guys just may have to call out from work and enjoy lots of time in the backyard snow and warming up with hot cocoa. ;)
Feel free to come take as much snow as you like. Want me to ship some to ya? :lmao:

Juliana and I played outside for about 1 1/2 hours today. We are both beat! :lmao:

Wow!!! That's alot of snow. How cool. My kids would be in heaven...for a short time. Love the picture of Mel and Ana walking in it and that Igloo is awesome. I won't show you our little snow(4in) we got a week ago....ok I will;)..Remember..we live in So Cal
Great pictures!!! How often to you get snow? We are getting a little more snow this weekend.

BTW...I did our plans on PTR. Since you are a pro..can you check it out?
LOL YES!!!!!! I'm a PRO!!!!!!!!!! I checked it out!

Oh...waiting to read the next part:rolleyes1. Loving it so far, but you need to finish before we leave:rotfl:
I'm trying to get this done. Another update coming up later tonight... :surfweb:

WOW!!! But tell me, how can Mel look so fashionable out there in the cold and snow. I always look like a bum.
LOL... she is an ex-ski bunny! Now I have to go snowboarding by myself because she gave it up.:sad2:

Wow! Lot's of snow there! Especially love the pic where DD is barely visible! Did she try to make any tunnels? BTW... nice igloo :thumbsup2 But I don't think the TV is fitting in there :lmao: At least you guys have plows! :rotfl2:
I used to always make tunnels as a kid. I think she was just overwhelmed by the amount of snow and just wanted to jump off the huge snow pile.

I can dig out the igloo and get the TV in there no problem. But do I really want to go through all that trouble? :confused3

Wow, you guys totally got slammed yesterday. My friend lives out in Hartford and she told me that they got record snowfalls. We got about 18.5 inches I think when all was said and done. I wasn't as lucky as Mel and ended up at work - our hospital was busting at the seams.
There were record snowfalls throughout the state. I think the official number in my town was 24''. There were many towns with 30''

Sorry you had to go work. I was glad Mel didn't have to drive in- plus she got to play with Juliana & I. :goodvibes

I'm glad to hear that Juliana is feeling better. Croup sucks. DD had it two years ago and I remember bringing her into the bathroom and just letting the shower run for the steam.
Thank you. Steam and cold air really help with it. Thank goodness it is finally gone.

Love the igloo. I can barely make a snowman, let alone an igloo!
All Juliana wants to do is build a snowman but it isn't the right type of snow.

that's awhole lotta snow.....love the photos of your snow bunnies....we got a whopping 3 inches Tues night...slushy mess in the morning...schools called snow day :confused3 roads were clear by 11 and all gone by 5pm....Seattle area doesn't know how to handle the snow like the east coasters!

Nice igloo! We didn't get outside yesterday at all! We don't have much of a yard to play in and I was in no rush to get out there, so DH was on his own! Looks like you all had a good time. And now I'm thinking I should have gotten some pictures of Max with snow up to his head! :lmao:
I hope you had some time to play outside today. It was really nice with the sun shining!

I wouldn't know what to do or how to handle all that snow!!! We got 3-4 inches and it is more than enough for me. Looks like a blast to play in though! I think maybe it would be nice to experience snow like that just once...
Feel free to come on up to CT and play! I love how it looks when it snows but a few days after it gets all nasty. Good thing there is more coming on Saturday to make it all pretty again!

Thank you. We did have fun playing outside yesterday and today too! :goodvibes

Great snow pics! Love the igloo and Juliana trying to walk through that snow!
Thanks!! She was getting stuck and Mel had to basically drag her though the snow. :rotfl:

They called school off on Wednesday through out the state and I would say 1/2 of the state had a snow day today too. Juliana was a little upset she didn't have school today but we went sledding for a while and she forgot all about school.

You would think Seattle could handle snow but I guess since you guys are so close to the ocean and at sea level that you never get it. :confused3

we do get some really bad year's dec 08 had snow for 18 days straight, Seattle area pretty much shuts down....lots of hills and little equipment...get the highways and main roads done, but sides hardly ever....my mom's street never got plowed, so the neighbors got together and cleared a path so they could get out onto the main road!

people just panic and since we don't get it bad every year a lot of people don't know how to drive in it either.

we had 1 1/2 snow days the week of thanksgiving, my DD first since we just move back up from CA over the summer and she had only gone to school in CA, she was thrilled!!!

Nope, the PNW just doesn't see a whole lot- at least on the west side of the Cascades. The last time I remember seeing that much was when I live in Flagstaff. It's fun for a day, but much more than that it gets annoying and hard work. The pictures ARE lovely though! Glad that the whole family could go out and have fun together.

love the last picture of Juliana trying to move in the snow. We got hit like that a few weeks ago it is over Ella's head now. Thankfully we got a ice storm about a week later so she can walk on top of the snow now :rotfl:

The city near me has tons of hills so they cancel school all the time. I can understand why Seattle would cancel school for minimal snow. Last year a bus was stuck on a hill and they kept the kids on there till 9pm at night. It was a mess.

We get snow here all winter and people still don't know how to drive in it! :lmao::lmao:

Did you tell your DD that the days were going to have to be made up in June? I bet she didn't like the sound of that! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Thank you Mrs. Burren! We did have fun playing outside! I'm going to try to post an update then upload a video or two of Juliana tubing.;)

WOW... this is the first time I ever head anyone thankful for an ice storm!!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2: We are getting ready for more snow on Saturday then a possible ice storm on Tues-Wed. It is a little too early for them to be predicting all that... isn't it?:confused3

Up late , aren't we?? I should get to bed soon it's the last night in this house tomorros is moving for reals day.

We were about to step through the 'secret' entrance to Spaceship Earth through this door...

DSC00504.jpg

We walked down a hallway and saw the loading area for the VIPs! You get on the ride in a separate room before the car even reaches the regular loading area. Juliana and Melody rode together and I was by myself. It was a great ride as always and before we knew it we were seeing the world.

DSC00505.jpg

I guess Juliana and Melody can see themselves in the future living under the sea.

DSC00512.jpg

We emailed ourselves the video postcard and watched some kids play some of the games for a few minutes. I checked to see what time it was and it was already after 1:30. Ummmm, I guess we weren't making our 1:00 lunch at Rose & Crown. I was a little disappointed but I wasn't even hungry, plus we had a ton of snacks with us.

We went back up to Base21 to get our stroller and to figure out what we were doing next. I asked Juliana if she was interested in riding Test Track and she was all for it. Melody wasn't so sure that having Juliana ride it was such a smart idea. Before our trip, Juliana & I watched a clip of TT on youtube and Juliana seemed to really want to ride it. So over to TT we went. We were almost there when Juliana informed us that she HAD to use the bathroom again. We were in Epcot for about 3 hours so far and this was her 3rd bathroom stop. Anyway, she went, then we went-over to TT.

DSC00514.jpg

I was holding Juliana during the pre-show and she was watching the movie and she didn't seem scared at all. The doors opened then into the line we went. Juliana informed us that she wanted a red car. I told her it was luck of the draw and we didn't have a choice. It was our turn to get on and we got.... a yellow car. Glad she didn't mind!

DSC00516.jpg

She loved the ride and once we picked up speed and went outside she was laughing and screaming (with delight!) She absolutely LOVED the ride. I was relieved that she liked it. We got off and checked out the cars on the way out. Good thing it I won't have to see this for real for another 12 years!

DSC00519.jpg

DSC00520.jpg

We even got to see the 2011 Cadillac CTS coupe. Sweet ride!

DSC00521.jpg

I thought about riding Mission Space but time was flying. We still haven't stepped one foot in the World Showcase. Off to Mexico we went and I stopped for a quick XX Dos Equis.

DSC00522.jpg

While I was getting my beer, we got to listen to the Mariachi playing.

DSC00523.jpg

They were great! We continued to walk clockwise around the WS. We were arriving in Germany and we saw Belle & the Beast but they were leaving, so we didn't get a chance to see them. We kept walking on to Japan. Why Japan you ask? A DIS friend purchased a pearl in September from pick-a-pearl but didn't get it set. So she sent me the pearl and I told her I would stop to get it set for her. While we were waiting for the setting, Mel took Juliana to the bathroom and to get dressed for MVMCP which we were going to that night!

IMAG0288-1.jpg

Mel & I got changed too. The setting only took about 15 minutes then we were walking back around the WS toward the exit. I wish we had more time in Epcot. I would of liked to see Captain EO, ride Mission Space, ride Figment, hang out in Innovations, and tour some countries.

By the time we were nearing Spaceship Earth, Juliana needed to use the potty.... AGAIN. I don't know why she had to go so much- she wasn't downing gallons of water. LOL

Everyone was situated then it was time to walk towards the monorail... one more picture before we leave.

DSC00524.jpg

I got a workout pushing that stroller up the ramp heading up towards the monorail. It wasn't too busy and we hopped on the monorail (no Tron-a-rail) on our way to the Magic Kingdom!

DSC00525.jpg

Up next..... MVMCP, a DISmeet, would our night get cut short?

I love the mariachi- so much that I even downloaded a couple of their tunes off of iTunes.

I am sooooooooooo glad that Jul really enjoyed TT! That was a crapshoot with her being so young. but I can see a dare-devil side to her princessy-ness.

Shall I send a photo of that lovely pearl you had set??? Once again, thank you so much for doing that for us!! I know a certain young lady who really loves it!

Ha-ha, if you could ship the snow I would gladly accept it. I'd make a snowball out of whatever was remaining and keep it frozen in the freezer to admire whenever I missed it. :)

Love the pic of Juliana behind the wheel. And I love the pic of all three of you at TT. You can see how much Juliana looks like Mel there. :) Juliana is just too cute, she is always so happy & smiling in all her pics.

You DL songs from the Disney mariachi? I didn't even know those were out there! :goodvibes

You know I am glad she liked it too.... or I would of got the 'I told you so' from Mel. :lmao::lmao:

You can post it here if you'd like (or send it- whatever you'd like!). I know you are going to be busy the next few days! :goodvibes

LOL You could open your freezer and just hug your snow. :grouphug:

You think she looks like Mel there? I have a hard time seeing Mel in her. I feel like I see my side of the family. :confused3 :goodvibes

:lmao: I love that you looked at your watch 30 minutes AFTER the ADR had passed.

Ana looks adorable in her Christmas Dress and how cool that she loved TT! I recall how those multiple potty trips can really mess with a touring plan. Getting Lisa's pearl set? That's Nice!

:goodvibes
