A Wilderness Lodge TR! With PICS! (UPDATED 1/27)

Hi!! Great first attempt to a TR....I'm writing my first one now, too! It's fun, isn't it?! You guys are so cute and love all the pics!!! Looking forward to the next installment!!!:thumbsup2

Great TR! I love the Wilderness Lodge, it is on my wishlist. How was the bus service?

I love the Wilderness Lodge, haven't stayed there yet, when at MK go over to the bridge conneting to splash mountain and watch the fireworks. They are spectular. Also, watch from the beach of the polynesian resort, we were there in September and watched 3 nights in a row. It was relaxing and beautiful.

Love the report so far. By the way we live just outside if Hammond

Hi!:wave2: Thanks for joining us! It is fun doing a TR! I will have to go over and read your TR soon!

Great TR! I love the Wilderness Lodge, it is on my wishlist. How was the bus service?
Bus service was average. I think our shortest wait was for Epcot, 10 mins? And our longest was for Animal Kingdom 20+ mins? But the Lodge is further out then most other resorts to three out of four parks so we couldn't complain!

We really loved the Wilderness Lodge when we were there! It is beautiful! Glad you came by my TR :)

Great start to your TR! I saw WL in the title and I was in!

I just love it there. We stayed there in May of '08 and it is our favorite resort.

Can't wait to hear more.

Sorry I haven't updated in a couple days! I have been so busy with school starting back up and work!

Since this was our second morning we decided to sleep in :faint: We were both SO tired! I am a really bad sleeptalker/sleepwalker, in fact I have done a lot of crazy things in my time sleeping! It always worries me when I go on vacation that I am going to end up in the lobby or something in my pj's! :scared: haha! Anyways, we got a good nights rest and woke up about about 10:30.

This was Future World day! I like to do Epcot in two parts, two different days. Mainly just because I love the World Showcase and could probably stay there the whole time.

So we were off! When we arrived we headed to see the board to see what wait times were. DBF loves Soarin' but the wait was 80 minutes so we headed to Test Track instead. I kinda wish they would change it up a little bit, but maybe it is because I have been on it 33+ times :p We chose not to do Mission Space because DBF gets headaches very easily and he forgot to take some Advil before hand so I was not risking it! I prefer to do the orange side so I knew we couldn't!

We went to get a FP later for Soarin' but the come back time was already for like 6 so we opted out! I was kind of disappointed and knew if we had been there earlier we could of done it but we really needed the sleep, so we were both happy just walking over to Canada and making our way towards Beaches and Cream for lunch.

These next pictures are actually from June of '08 but nothing has changed, even the waitress.

The Kitchen Sick, I mean Sink! ;) I would love to try it one day when I have my family of five there!

We stood outside waiting for the hostess for a little bit and after 10 minutes I peeked my head inside and I heard her say, "I will be there in just a moment." She was also being a waitress and that was fine but a pretty good line started accumulating at the door, we were seated shortly after though.

I had the cheeseburger and fries! It was yummy as always. My only complaint is they no longer give you a pickle with the meal. I loveeee pickles so this was a bummer, but really not a big deal! DBF ordered the turkey sandwich. He said it was just okay. Our server was great and very friendly.

We decided we weren't going to get dessert there. I really wanted a piece of cheesecake from France so we headed out and made our way to the Boulangerie :)

The cheesecake was okay. I have had better. DBF got the chocolate eclair. He really didn't care for it. He prefers a regular eclair but we didn't see any when we went through the line. I had a couple bites of his and it was okay. While we were eating our desserts on a bench close by the perfume place I spotted Sleeping Beauty! I really wanted a photopass with her so I trotted on over and she was a hoot! She was really into character! She said, "Well, I hope your young prince over there takes you dancing in the forest every now and then!!" "Oh, yes! All the time!" :rotfl: I loved her! She was so sweet!

Here is a picture of us leaving Epcot!

(My next post will be more interesting I promise) Lots of pics of the lodge coming up!

I love Epcot too..and it's a two-day park as is MK. DHS to me is a one day park...never been to AK though, so I don't know much about it. I love your pictures btw :)

WOW...look at the kitchen sink! We're a family of 5 and don't think we could even choke that down!!! LOL!:rotfl: Great pics!!! Love the one of you guys in front of Epcot!!

Thank you! We love AK! The theme is so creative, but what isn't in Disney? :goodvibes

:) thank ya! We didn't get to take a lot of pictures together with it just being me and him but a nice couple did this for us!

I have to agree with you..everything at Disney is awesome. Just being in it is enough for me, even if I don't get to ride everything in the parks.

Great update! Sleeping in on an Epcot day sounds like a nice plan. I'm trying to work a sleep-in day into my plans for my upcoming trip. Disney is exhausting! I'm excited for more WL pictures! :)

I like the idea of sleeping in one day too..in fact we've got it planned to do so on our second or third day :)

OMG the kitchen sink is HUGE!!! We went to Beaches and Cream one night and some group was getting that. I don't think my family (there's 5 of us too) could ever finish one of those! But it would be kind of fun to get just to say you tried it. :rotfl:

I took one look at the description for the Kitchen Sink...the price--OMG..and an ENTIRE can of whip cream!!! WHEW!!!!!

Okay guys! I have been SUPER busy and SUPER stressed out! With school starting back up it has taken over my life! I promise I will have a post up tomorrow afternoon! :sad2:

No worries...you need to focus on school, but I know it's hard to do w/ Disney on your mind :)
