That does make sense -- my mother paid for her own braces as well, but my parents did pay for mine. If we couldn't do it, it would be one thing -- if I am not doing it because I want to spend the money on a luxury trip, then that is a whole 'nother kettle of fish. You know?

Well I'm sorry about the braces putting the brakes on the DVC plans. Those points will always be there waiting. I think they had 150 AKL points offered today for $88 per point. Those deals will always be there.
