A lovely post! Great MainStreet performance pictures!!!
Say, did you catch the recent buzz about the candlelight Processional?!! A LOT of huppla -- 2 TS credits now, a fixed meal, and the price is $$... more than before, apparently... anyhow, it is all new to me, but I am not sure I am going to do it now, still thinking. Sounds like everyone is in an uproar... I don't even think you can use TIW card for this... A few threads posted... I followed a link from the DDP thread, I believe... Just thought I'd mention since I know you are making plans for it...
Well for the record books, I "heart" Main Street too!ahhhh, I heart Main Street!
I can't believe I just said "I heart"....I think my 13 yr old is rubbing off on me.
I do think about the poor horses and characters!Do you ever feel sorry for those poor horsies when they are walking down Main Street in that heat??
Or the poor characters in full head gear? Or the cast members in long sleeved shirts? Whew!! I'm roasting just thinking about it.
I hope your week is starting off better than last week. My kids start Wed and Thurs this week. It's time. My youngest, who is Baylor's age, is getting to be such a sass! She needs to go back to school NOW!!!
My week has started out with another 12 hour day! I keep wondering when we are going to get all of this beginning of the year stuff done.
Sounds like it's time for school at your house, will she be a sass to her teacher?
No, she won't to her teacher. Thank goodness. I just said to DH tonight that I hope I'm not raising a snob, and he said "you are"My week has started out with another 12 hour day! I keep wondering when we are going to get all of this beginning of the year stuff done.

I just don't want her to be like the girls in that movie Mean Girls!
You know, the "popular" girls who don't let you sit at their table at lunch or on the sr benches in high school. (I think I need some therapy)
Anyway, we'll see. I talk to her all the time about being a nice person to EVERYONE! Kids are stinky, have I ever said that before???![]()
We just finished our first full week with students. It was a long week, very hard on everyone. I hope next year we start on a Wednesday or Thursday...
I've been going over some lessons today and need to watch a science video before bed. How many do you have in your class this year?
I'm always relieved to hear that my children know how to act when they are in public in contrast to how they may behave at home.....No, she won't to her teacher. Thank goodness. I just said to DH tonight that I hope I'm not raising a snob, and he said "you are"WHAT????

I'm the same way, I try to tell them that what goes around comes around....I am sooooooooo with you on this one! I've seen/heard Hannah be not so nice sometimes and I'm on her like white on rice about it. That is just not acceptable behavior.
I love Main Street, thanks for sharing your pictures.
I'm hoping for a Friday night update! Can't wait for the next update
Wow 27 is a lot of bodies for a teacher to look after! Is your classroom terribly crowded? I know at our school it isn't unusual for 5th grade to have close to 30 kids.It was the 17th for us as well, what a long, long week!My kids started on the 17th, so we're halfway through our 2nd full week. I agree about the Thursday start. I loved it when we did that! The first full week is absolutely brutal!!
I have 27 little 10-year-old darlings this year in my homeroom.I have 29 in my accelerated Math class and 22 in my Low Average Reading class. We have big numbers all around this year. We've already added a new K teacher and he's hiring for a new 1st grade teacher right now. We've heard rumors that we might add a teacher, but for now they're just rumors.

I don't know how teachers survive!!
I would end up in the looney bin if I was stuck with 27 10 year olds everyday!
I have to laugh a little at my self, because I'm going back next month to finish my degree to teach high school history.
But I'll take teenagers over grade school any day of the week!
I was watching Big Brother last night and one of the guys was wearing manpris....it made me think of you.![]()
